So funny...when Elastica first broke out onto the scene way back in 1995 with this first single, I absolutely hated and loathed this song so badly. Then, a short time later, they released Stutter and I absolutely loved that song so much, that I went out and purchased the CD. I, of course, loved the album from Track 1 (Line Up), all the way through Track 16 (Vaseline) and because of that, Connection also grew on me and I came to love it so much as well. Their Debut album has always remained in my collection since then too because it's a 100% awesome album, with no bad songs on it whatsoever. Pure Gold, as far as I am concerned, and takes me back to a better time. 🙂

Justine was my dream crush back in the 90s. I even dated a girl in large part because she had the same look as Justine; dark hair, similar haircut, similar features, British 😆. She wasn't a musician but an artist, which is ironic as Justine is now well known for her paintings.

Now thanks to the internet, there are quiet a few well-known female drummers who are getting more focus and showing their kit skills like Anna Prior (Metronomy), Sarah Jones (Hot Chip/Harry Styles), Meg White (White Stripes) and every drummer The Last Dinner Party has had has been female and a session player, especially Isis Dunthorne.
