i can say from my experience (i am also a dancer) that sometimes when your on stage and in practice you are focused on getting the movements down and perfect that sometimes you forget about the emotion and facial expressions

also remember at 14 you don't neccessarily know how heartbreak feels like, especially not to our grown up extent and faking emotion is just way harder. Give her time :)

i’ve seen lots of comments saying “WHERES THE EMOTION” or “THIS ISNT DANCE ITS GYM” personally i think this was beautiful, in time, a good amount of skills mixed in with contemporary,. yes expression would have helped but i still think this was great (and before peeps accuse me lol,yes, i am a dancer.) ❤️

Y'all- she didn't post this video for your constructive criticism. There are judges for that. Can't we all just enjoy her talent? She's a beautiful dancer.

I am amazed by all the negative comments. This is a gloriously beautiful young woman who is growing! She did a wonderful job! I'm sure half the people who commented could not do this. Everyone has strengths and weakenesses, humans need more grace with one another!

her dance was phenomenal but, this is my opinion, she could've done more expressions or emotions through the dance to fit the song.

As a dancer this is just a great dance and she has an amazing body for this dance you can tell she’s focused on what’s she’s doing!

It's not even just the emotion in her face that's missing. It's like she doesn't care about the movements and she's just running through the motions. I feel like with a piece like this you have to feel it with your body, not just your face; she didn't pull it off.

Annie Ho It's the emotion and the connection to the song that really holds the dance together, never technique. You won't go anywhere in the competitive dance world if you dance emotionlessly.

My top tips for becoming more flexible: stretch morning, noon, and night. Even simple stretches will help. I promise you that none of these things or any flexibility will come easily or quickly. It might take up to a month to start seeing real changes

That was amazing. Idk u at all but that made me cry. U have so much power and as a dancer myself i know that that is very hard to accomplish. Good job. Dont be afraid to let your feelings burst out on your face. Let happiness, saddness, anything while ur dancing wash over ur entire body and face. And that would be perfect
