"El Recluso" synopsis:
A former U.S. Marine, of Hispanic descent, Lázaro Mendoza, enters a maximum security prison in México (La Rotunda), under a false identity and accused of an alleged triple murder. Now as Dante Pardo, his mission is to infiltrate a dangerous band of inmates and guards that operate inside and outside of prison. They are the prime suspects of the kidnapping of the teenage daughter of prominent U.S. Judge, John Morris. Inside La Rotunda, Lázaro has to find out who carried out the kidnapping and the whereabouts of the girl. Lázaro discovers that the girl is indeed captive in an abandoned area of the prison and sets out to rescue her. But he is betrayed by Judge Morris and left to his fate in prison; at the same time that his brother is murdered and his young son kidnapped. Lázaro will manage to get out of prison and face the judge while searching for clues about his missing son. This encounter will bring deadly consequences to Judge Morris and Lázaro is recaptured and sent back to La Rotunda. Locked up and desperate to locate his son, he will have to expose his identity to Frida, the social worker and human rights representative inside the prison. Lázaro will run out of options and deep down he will realize that escaping will be the only way to save his life and clear his name.
