I'm from Argentina, so let me clarify something: The word, "Aguante" comes from verb "Aguantar" (literally, to resist /to endure / to support). This therm is usually a "slang" expression among friends, when a situation happens, it means, someone backing you up, resisting along your side. So, in this context, "Aguante", is used as , (not for the thing or person to do the action), rather to illustrate the support, loyalty, and also a sense of pride from fans towards the band, (as in a cheering way). Some might say that is similar to the "GO!" used to show support in sports, but is not. I hope it helps.

Mi inglés no es bueno, por eso escribo en castellano. El "Aguante Megadeth" nació espontáneamente, en 1994, de un grupo de gente que estaba cerca mío y pronto el Estadio Obras Sanitarias se fue haciendo eco del coro. Fue la primera visita de la banda a Argentina e iban a tocar sólo tres noches, jueves, viernes y sábado, pero fue tanto la sorpresa de Mustaine y la banda con la afición argentina que terminaron agregando dos noches más. 5 noches a estadio lleno.

@@Agustin-od7wx Si, también alguien lo cantó en su casa mucho antes. Lo cierto es que se hizo eco y se popularizó dentro de Obras y en pleno recital. Habiendo estado en la fila, metros más atrás o adelante, nunca escuche corearlo.

So it happened in 1994 in Argentina! "Aguante" it's a very Argentinian expression. I was blown away the first time I heard it in a Megadeth unplugged back in the early '2000s, I was searching to download the song at a site and when I clicked to listen to the song it was an unplugged. Funny, I lost the song and I could never find it anymore

Porque habríamos de recordarlo ? Si ya sabemos que los demas paises copian los cantitos y le cambian palabras .Aca el video habla del original osea de Argentina . Despues todos sabemos que los demas paises le cambian la letra , hacen lo mismo con los cantos del fútbol. Al final solo importa el original por eso el video.

In 1994 megadeth visited Argentina for the first time, they played in the ESTADIO OBRAS and from the entrance line the song was already beginning to be heard, the announcements went through the speakers with the curtain of the riff of Symphony of destruction and people chanted it , then it was heard at the recital, I was lucky to be there..a year before I saw metallica in velez and they sang the famous ole, ole, ole, oleeeee metallicaaa, also with AC / DC ..... sorry for me English greetings

The chant's inception probably took place at some random rock bar or pool hall with sticky floors , possibly in Buenos Aires, Rosario or Cordoba . In my imagination, I can see some drunk, friendly feller with a bushy beard and a denim vest, right next to some fat guy with a Helloween shirt, blurting out the words for the very first time in history

I went to a megadeth concert in 2017 here in brazil and we sing that to, its too much fun
