This was very beautiful to watch, El is such a character
Real recognizes Real ampa. I have always advocated for e.l, worlasi, Akan and Manifest as our best rap music exports. If only we pay attention to the talent they are displaying. Nice to see E. L mention worlasi.

The biggest artist from Ghana are Amaarae and Jules
EL spoke the hard truth Over reliance on Stonebwoy,Shatta Wale and Sakodie is Ghana’s biggest problem Their creativity tank is empty right now and they themselves are in denial of the truth Black Sherif,Amaarae and Gyakie are the artists with the international appeal

Stonebwoy really blew up recently in the last 6-7 years. Yes he’s been in the industry for over 10+ years, but he didn’t really blow blow until recently. Shatta Wale: Formerly known as Bandana. Came back in 2013-2014, and hit his peak in 2017. I agree that he’s not as creative as he used to be. Sarkodie: Among the three of them, he’s been the most consistent. And he drops quality music 80% of the time. He’s also an ambassador to Ghana at this point. One of the most welcoming artistes we have.

Why is Olele suggesting certain music styles or genres have to be sidelined for others to be promoted and shoved down the throat of consumers? Why can’t we promote all forms of music rather than sidelining others sake of agenda. You can’t force people to love something. You can push the horse 🐎 to the river but can’t force it to drink the water. I believe it’s disrespectful to think other artistes are more deserving of certain laurels and recognition than others cos to you they’re talented and their style is your preference. Having a talent and some uniqueness isn’t enough. There’s more to being a successful artiste than just being talented. People with alternative styles of music or indigenous music can succeed and gain relevance and audience alongside the popular styles or genres with hardwork and strategic marketing. Olele sometimes talk as if he knows than everyone. I hope with this interview he acknowledges and understands the hard work a lot of these Gh artistes are putting into their craft, marketing etc. and won’t minimize their hardwork just cos others have a deeper well of resources to explore and promote their products on a larger scale.

Alte was invented by Nigerian music group Drb lasgidi,Alte is a Nigerian lingo for alternative ...there are a lot of alte sounds rising in Nigeria, artiste like ODUMODUBLVCK who recently topped the Apple Music chart in Nigeria are alte artiste given more push because it’s one of the hidden Nigerian sounds going global but still under afrobeats...I had to drop this here before they claim alte sound is from ghana, cultural origins is only from Nigeria but done by Nigerians and ghanians, your biggest artiste from Ghana is amaarae, the only Gh artiste with good number of Spotify listeners but she’s from the diaspora is an alte artiste, she’s more global than any Ghanaian artiste because her sound is different,,,y’all better listen to el,Nigeria runs this music p

You can't go 3 months without dropping music in this modern world unless you're a very top top artist. This is something Ghanaian musicians don't get. They've all gone silent for about 8 months. They have destroyed their own careers.

Hope y’all know alte is a Nigerian genre😂😂😂,before you guys claim it...anyways the guy is not far from the truth, google is free,Nigerian music is global because of the alte sounds infused in afrobeats, that’s another angle, artiste like tems, oxlade, ckay etc are from the Nigerian alte sounds..the biggest African album today which is made in Lagos by Wizkid had a lot of alte influences,at the end of the day,y’all still be doing the Nigerian sound 😂
