I think El Chicano, Santana, Malo, Tierra, Poncho Sanchez, and all the other Latin Bands. All of these Bands are all a part of American History. Viva La Raza.

Sapo and Azteca from S.F! There was a lot of Chicanos spread around the California and Texas rock scenes too like “Fito” De La Parra from Canned Heat and Bobby Ramirez from “Edgar Winters White trash”.

JohnnyConga, I bought all your albums. I was a young teenager, my friends didn’t like my music but I didn’t care what they thought. When I first heard “Viva Tirado” that did it for me I bought into it immediately!!! Thank you for being a part of my life and songs such as yours are treasures of gold. Up until today, no one has topped the song “Sabor A Mi” (I haven’t heard of her) Love and Peace ~

This band was before my time. I grew up loving the Chicano MC rapper Kid Frost & his producer Tony G sampled a great deal of this band & thanks to that I became a fan of El Chicano. Love them!

Reminds me of the old days on Olvera Street, Tucson, AZ El Chuco, TX and my home town of Alamogordo, NM. The old home boys, the dances, the weddings, receptions, Tardiadas, on and on. I still have my poster of when I went to see El Chicano live in San Jose Spartan Stadium. Malo was there, War and people on imboumbing fluid, some rocket Fluid, angel dust, the famous KJ. People walking around naked. Anyway great memory when I was 15 of youth. A good thing my Dad and Mom didn't know about that wildness, however I had a great time. Salute To Mr. El Chicano

A band that had soul and honesty with a great sound. We bought the cinco album in the early seventies when I was still a small lad and I still listen to those songs and melodies to this very day when I'm feeling a little down. I remember El Chicano music. early 70s I usually listen this stations where they play English music. radio 1270, San Miguel El Salvador and la pantera another radio station , I loved their music dough I was only 12 years old and don’t understand English at all back on those days I was so fascinated by their music that I played in my mind been a Chicano jajaja. Love it! We love being a part of the Rock/Latin fusion sound. This is a sound that will grow and expand in time. Bands like El Chicano, Malo, Santana, were the forefathers and we have our own unique East Coast vibe that is quite diverse. I still have my poster of when I went to see El Chicano live in San Jose Spartan Stadium. Malo was there, War and people on imboumbing fluid, some rocket Fluid, angel dust, the famous KJ. People walking around naked. Anyway great memory when I was 15 of youth. A good thing my Dad and Mom didn't know about that wildness, however I had a great time. Salute To Mr. El Chicano

A band that had soul and honesty with a great sound. We bought the cinco album in the early seventies when I was still a small lad and I still listen to those songs and melodies to this very day when I'm feeling a little down. I remember El Chicano music. early 70s I usually listen this stations where they play English music. radio 1270, San Miguel El Salvador and la pantera another radio station , I loved their music dough I was only 12 years old and don’t understand English at all back on those days I was so fascinated by their music that I played in my mind been a Chicano jajaja. Love it! We love being a part of the Rock/Latin fusion sound. This is a sound that will grow and expand in time. Bands like El Chicano, Malo, Santana, were the forefathers and we have our own unique East Coast vibe that is quite diverse. I lived "next door" to you in Phoenix during that time. Still remember some of those radio stations KRUX, KRIZ, KUPD and KOOL TV.

aka "Mad Dad" Yeah Lydia S. Liked this tune when it was first released... liked it in 2019, in 2021 and will beyond. This tune did get quite a bit of airplay here in Southern New England. A favorite at the time.
