That mother to US ambassador scheme might be too hard and disrespectful to hear but I'll tell you this, In Fliptop that's just an appetizer, Its a lot worse there, your whole career, family, personality and all the things that matter in your life will get destroyed and will made you rethink your worth of life. Also worth mentioning on EJ's last line, he meant (Translated) "and for all the folks who still doubting my skill and talent, Lets all meet next year stage at Isabuhay" Context: Isabuhay Tournament is a whole year tournament in Fliptop and one of the most prestigious tournament. Its always stacked with the best of the best around the Philippines and whoever wins it will always cement their name on the league.

Adding about the tournament, the word "Isabuhay" is a wordplay, which means "revive" (in a hiphop culture sense) and "one life" meaning every battle is high stakes and an MC can get eliminated easily when unprepared. You can compare it to NBA playoffs, but its rap battle here in the Ph. Most Filipinos are waiting for these tourney battles and the finals is obviously like the NBA finals. Everyone's equally rooting for someone.

In Fliptop the insults are waaaaaaaaay wayyyyyyyyy more insulting. This is hard but it's nothing in fliptop. But also people in fliptop don't get offended that easily since they focus more in how things are said based on rap technicalities than focusing on the insults.

EJ power's taking it easy, not because of him rap battling in English, but he was being nice. EJ power's personals when unrestrained might offend too many people there, but that's the norm in Fliptop. but his comedy is still topnotch, and his flow is as impressive as ever.

The style of EJ power is what we called multisyllabic rhyme. it is the one of the favorite style fighting battle in fliptop of my country in Philippines.

Fliptop is the type of rap battle league where everything is legal to say, way way more brutal and complex.

Even if he learns the basic tagalog he will not understand the culture and current events. Mostly references about our history or about celebrities here. theres also a lot of slang that you will only understand if you live here for a long time. You need to have a lot of filipino friends to really understand tagalog because learning it by yourself is hard if your purpose is to understand fliptop battles.

Trust me, ej is a b level emcee in fliptop battle league. He aint one of the best. The best of the best in the philippines are considered probably the best in the world. Our language is almost theoretically designed to battle rap😂. We have a lot of rhymes and can play with words much better bc of how the alphabet is designed.

17:10 yeah bro, what ej said was way nerfed tbh, it was delivered in quite a funny way but in fliptop most uses that kind of set up with a comedy set up and a heavy personal life mocking punchline but some have crazy personals from set up to the 4th bar punchline. in fliptop, ej power was known because of his comedy and flow but he has so underated dark humor which he explored well in the international scene.

Hey bro it seems they arent familiar with EJ’s pen game, while he is known here as a technical joker/comedian due to his pattern of bars and jokes, his angles revolves around dark humour. It’s no suprised to Fliptop community that he does that since we also got shocked with one of his famous rhyme scheme about a father’s wife who did three times abortion that was brutal as fuck literally rip but the way he metaphor and put it in a bar was very complex and superb. Sandy Hook was brutal too, its a double meaning its also a place in US recently with violent mass shooting.
