Excellent work Graham. I really enjoy your videos. I have my own channel but more general car stuff rather than how to’s, so really find these informative. Keep up the excellent work.

G’day Graham. I enjoyed your video - as usual. I learn something every time. I wish I could volunteer at your business to watch and learn, but I guess I live too far away. AS always, great work. Col.

Great video Graham, thanks for the detail. Loved the collaboration with DJ, Peter and yourself the other day, that was awesome the skit you guys did with the XA, can’t wait to see that come through. Don’t forget to spend some time with family mate, they’re more important than us and the little ones grow up very quickly

Thanks Graham , like your work and wish I had even half as much skill , This video could not be better timed for me as well , I am currently doing a resto on an EH Special and am virtually at the same stage as you in the engine bay . Your videos on the EJ are helping me greatly with tips on how to approach the jobs required :)

Great work as usual Grahame. The firewall is typically a charcoal/bluey/black colour. The 'front' of the car is attached much later (possibly at a different city/factory) and are hence painted separately. The inner guards and rad support etc. in the engine bay are typically matte black. Oh and those trays are called windage trays😁.

I bought some of those wire wheels before Chrissy and haven’t used them yet But watching you use them I’m going to get them out of the box and get on with it What about some seam sealer between the rail and the inner guard to stop water getting in there I know it’s no original but they didn’t do seam sealer back them Might help stop it rusting again Just a thought I would do it 👍👍

So my 1955 bel air is all original and very solid except for one rust through on the passenger side rear fender well. I was YouTubing rust repair and found your channel! I admire your skills and ethics about doing a right job! And along the way I have found your friends channels as well because I truly have just always liked Australia classic cars and love revivals!! I’m ABSOLUTELY looking forward to watching you guys revival progress on your cars! I do have a life but when it’s time to just sit down for a moment you guys are 👍🏻👍🏻! Stay strong!

good repair on the subframe apron we had to do the same on the EH prem mainly caused by moisture trapped there but also the radiator overflow pipe tends to get tucked in that corner too same happens on HR's the subframe & firewall were painted that grey/ blue colour we tried finding a formula there is none for it as it was a mix of left over paint i was told just toss in together closest we were told is that charcoal grey on the HQ GTS wheels is a match we had EH's back in the late 70's one had the grey/blue engine bay colour the other a late r EH had satin black one thing i remember with EJ / EH the brakes were bad always better when you added a booster the ej's coming along nice😃🙃😉😊

Not sure how pure you want to stay with the resto, but putting an HD/HR disc brake front end in makes a massive improvement, and gets rid of the horrendous king pin setup as well. 350 HT Monaro shocks (Monroe) complement the disc setup brilliantly, and back in the day were the same price as standard EJ ones. They are stiffer and double acting.

Oh wow that front end needs cleaning and it would really suck doing it in the car. Glad to see youve been converted to the wire brush, they work great..except with great build up like that front end. I usually use a scraper first, then combination of heat gun, scrapers then degreaser, hot wash.. There is no easy way

Question... On the underbody panels that originally have the tar over the dark paint, what will you use over the paint when you refit them? Cheers and thanks for the effort, your work is great to watch and your manner is great too.
