@@marco002 Hytham was the first to establish a permanent presence for the hidden ones/assassins in England, until the time of Edward Kenway. Even though they existed during the 5th century they were defeated and evacuated from England until Basim and Hytham came.

Yoooo I just realized: According to Norse Mythology, Odin hung himself from Yggdrasil to gain knowledge. We can see Eivor being hung on the Isu Tree, gaining knowledge on what it really was. Basim calling Eivor "the Hanged One" is also referring to this. That's crazy.

I knew basim was Loki when he told Eivor about his son and the fact that he looks deadass like Loki

Basim (Loki) found out Eivor is Odin, i think when Eivor left the machine, Basim thought Odin replaced Eivor and took his body so he saw Eivor as Odin and tried to kill him right there and then.

@@vishalbaruah02 In a way yes it was real. Certain characters you see in those dreams were others you already seen in other games, like Gunlodr=Minerva, Angrboda=Aletheia, Hyrrokin=Juno, Suttungr=Jupiter. Collecting all the anomalies will show part of what really happened.

There's an email you can find in Layla's laptop that references...I think 6 Isu texts. One is Yggdrasil, one is Jerusalem, one is I believe Atlantis. The other three are Tanzania, Azerbaijan and China, all of which we haven't been to yet in mainline games. I am imagine whatever's coming next will be set in those places

@@mia-paris5533 well if you think about it at this time Loki has his skill, Basim's skill and Eivor's.. (+ he has the staff and as he is Isu he can find more powerful Isu weapons easily).. so the only logical choice would be Desmond.. he is the only one who is powerful and skilled enough to take out Loki (I can bet on that they will resurrect him somehow.. maybe with an Isu machine)

I started this game for the first time 3mnths ago. Today i finished thr Seige of Paris and Wrath of the Druids DLCs, and have been putting off the fight with Basim for almost a week. Thanks to your video, I'm ready to face him. ❤

Odin birthed his new form as Eivor, and Basim was from Loki. The Hidden Truth is that Odin was an Isu driven "mad" and sought immortality through re-birth, though it seems Loki conspires with an ISU A.I. to get revenge - although most likely yet another repetition of ISU beings feelings of Godly-hood and wishing destruction against their human counterparts, Human-Isu hybrids like that of Kassandra and Alexios - and of course there will always be those who oppose their views and actions. Such is the way of our history and that of Assassin's Creed.

So was Sigurd taken over by Tyr like Basim was or did he manage to fight it like Evior? It wasn't made clear.

It takes certain beliefs and a certain character to unlock the dna. Basim unlocked loki due to his own desire to learn and be the most knowledgeable person possible. Fulke tried to brute force the activation of sigurd through torture which nearly worked as tyr suffered physical pain but it was the wrong method. Basim also thought that sigurd was odin so kept trying to unlock odin by making sigurd believe he was the leader of all men and the god of gods. Eivor fought off odin as she had no urge to lead or rule or have any kf odins characteristics. Odin kept trying to break through but it never worked and eventually she broke free of him completely

Yeah. The asgard you see is a combination of all the mythology the animus puts together. Hence why one of the jotnar is clearly juno yet looks like an ice giant. Basically if you take every single plot point from the asgard missions replacing the gods with isu and jotnar with the isu we already know from past games then it starts to make sense.

Eivor is essentially imposing her knowledge of Norse myths (which seem largely inspired by true isu events) on Odin's memories of the era, which basically results in mundane racism being substituted with fantasy gods and frost giants racism, and everything looking a lot less sci-fi. The nine realms are presumably all major Isu nations that thrived just before the human rebellion and solar flare.

At 6:00, seems like basim hasn't lost his conscience yet even if he has already accepted his other self Basim's agility tho, I guess how will it do in a battle? I want to experience it for myself. Now that Last Chapter has come and gone it actually seems like he does still identify Loki and Basim as separate individuals...to an extent. And well Loki wasn't completely off the deep end. And if nothing else Tyr (Sigurd) treated Fenrir with a lot more care than Odin ever did.

I wonder if Vidarr (Norse god of revenge) is an Isu and what he would think of Loki’s revenge quest

This mission has crashed for me, I’ve been on the first phase for 10 minutes and I can’t get the cutscene when Basim pins you down

This game had the most interesting Isu storyline in any of the AC games. Good stuff.

Now that I think about it, Basim fights a lot like Loki very agile and with maneuverability also attacking from above 😗

After Eivor dies is he reborn as another sage later in the timeline. With Basim being free will he meet a modern day Odin incarnation? If Basim is trapped in the machine, did that also stop him being reborn as he never died? So many questions lol.

I think the isu plan was to have them all reincarnated at the same time so they could go to the tree together and take control. It sort of explains why nearly all of them were born within the same lifetime, the same area and so close to the vault. It also explains why loki was born so far away because he joined late and why heimdalls reincarnation was born 200 years too early as he was murdered by loki in the middle of the process

Even if it were multiple occurrences like Aita worked (hard to say but I believe they aren't supposed to do that) it'd be Odin that is reborn as that's the isu genetic memory that was shoved into the human gene pool in that manner. This isn't consciousness being magically moved in-between human lives in a linear fashion, random human vessels are simply born with the appearance and memories of a particular isu. The "real" Odin kept living after the transfer and died during Ragnarok all the same.

​​@@natchu96exactly. True reincarnation would've been death and their life would've transferred over to machine and then to human. But that wasn't the case. These "reincarnations" are nothing more than mental clones with DNA that hijacks its host if the host is either weak or convinced to be merged or overtaken. Tyr seems to be somewhat merged so it is Sigurd and Tyr. Freya was willingly given possession. Odin was rejected but still around to be interacted with only as a memory (much like Aang who interacts with any and all past lives). I think Thor was always kind of there without ever realizing he was a "reincarnation".

The sages such as Roberts in Ac4 who is Aita are like esperiments of the isus to survive the solar storm by transferring their consciousness to human bodies. Eivor is a Odin sage, Sigurd is a Tyr sage, Basim is a Loki sage, Valka's mum is a Freya sage and Halfdan is Thor's sage. This also explains why Eivor talks with Odin, it's Odin's consciousness trying to take over Eivor's and reincarnate in him. The difference between Eivor and Basim is that Eivor resisted Odin while Basim got completely possessed by Loki

Even the reincarnations are not perfect... since they are merely humans born with the DNA and knowledge of the deities. My guess is out of all the reincarnations of Loki... Basim is most likely closest Loki can come to being an "acceptable" reincarnation. Which is why he plotted to have this particular reincarnation survive into the 21st century. Hence... "it worked perfectly my dear".

Odin was an Isu who knew the first calamity was coming, he wanted to be immortal and so he and the other “Norse Gods” aka the Isu leadership of Asgard took something called The Mead which allows them to reincarnate into new bodies. Turns out this is how Juno brought back Aita as The Sage. So yeah as Technesis said: Eivor is a reincarnation of Odin, Basim is Loki and Sigurd is Tyr.

Odin Is havi. Not a descendant. The Isu used am experiment to be reincarnated in human form after their apocalypse. Odin became eivor. Tyr became sigurd and loki became basim

It's basically the same things than Aita. Basim was probably born as his own person (hence why he told some of his memories to Eivor) but Loki started to appear and ultimately took over his mind and body.

@MinecraftPro15 Well yeah, that's what I meant though I wasn't clear. Same thing happens when it's about Aita with a Safe. They're their own person until something "activates" the Aita DNA within them and then it depends. Some are able to resist to his influence and remain themselves to the point Aita ends up disappearing, others are not taken over but still influenced (like the guy who wrote the letters in BF) and others have their original self completely erased are Aita (like Bartholomew Roberts). It's a matter of influence and resistance against it. Eivor was able to resist Odin's influence and ultimately erased it. As for Basim not realizing what was happening with Eivor, it's simple, he saw the mark on Sigurd's neck (where Yggdrasil took the DNA of Odin and the other Isu to spread it across human race) when they met and thought he might be Odin. While in truth he was Tyr. After all, he had no mean to be sure about anything.

Eivor clearly got his ass handed to him and at the end Bassim was suprised by the grappling hook spike inserted to his back. Legedary Bassim even got the final knife attack. Still alive.

Wait.... Eivor never become an Assassin or part of the brotherhood? but the game's title literally called "Assassin's Creed", I tought it has important impact or anything to do with the Creed of the Assassin Brotherhood?

@@afiffarakhan4992 Eivor is trained by Basim and Hytham but doesn't join because she feels more connected to the Viking lifestyle although she still is allied with them. Personally, I think she might join in the DLC. It's a lot like Black Flag in that aspect except Edward joins in the end. But the game itself contributes a ton to AC lore. There is a lot about the Isu, connections to almost all the previous entries, and you even find an Assassin codex. You help hunt down proto-Templars.

Brah I’m fucking lost

Let’s not compare him with oldschool assassins since they all can fight against outnumbered groups and 1-hit takedown with only one counter attack. Let’s try him comparing with rpg mechanics: Eivor: we don’t need to compare because it is already in-game but okay he is comparable. Bayek: killed egyptian gods :D not saying reincarnation, god itself. Kassandra: another level, a demigod but stronger than gods. Killed hades. And if you still say well he got Loki’s speed, she outmatched hermes… Also I didn’t prefer to play mirage and valhalla so perhaps I don’t have the right to compare his combat skills, but as far as I know the game itself hints basim is no good for combat and recommends go in stealth.

Eivor is Odin reincarnation and Basim is Loki. Loki wants revenge on Odin because Odin imprisoned his Son Fenrir. So Basim is taking his vengeance on Eivor who is Odin

I suppose that when Basim found out that Sigurd had lost his arm, he realised that the sage he was trying to activate was in fact Tyr, and realised that the true Odin Sage was Eivor. And when finding both at the World Tree, Basim naturally assumed the worst case that Odin had taken over and restarted his fight that had begun during the ISU era. I suppose he realised his mistake upon entering Valhalla, and finding the Odin in there, and subsequently let go of the feud during his time inside the grey, though he made sure that he repaid Odin for his crimes.

Who or what is Basim's (Loki) son? In the ISU civ

I honestly think his son or children he speaks of is humanity. He basically in some sort of way was the reason humans were made and he wants to save them.

You wear the banner of the assassins. You have no honor. Well the isu is a teribel spices. Good that they died out. Wounder if there is isu that are kind instead like juno, aita and so calld basim skum.

Loki and Alethiea are kind towards humans, Loki just hates Eivor

Playing as Kassandra in Odyssey was better than playing as the male counterpart and so it is in my opinion in Assassin's Creed Valhalla

This scene makes no sense when we play as the male Eivor, cuz Basim (Loki) knows how Havi looks like. Only Female Eivor could fool him, cuz she looks different compared to Havi.

I think thats why female Eivor is cannon. If it was male... Basim would've known instantly. Loki was one of Odin's closest friends... and most cunning. Meaning Loki basically has a behavioral profile of Odin in his mind.

Such a shitty ending. Sure, I was surprised that rather than killing sigurd, you ended up fighting basim who randomly turned evil. But he had no motive and he did what a Templar would do. It’s fucking stupid how he gets to control eivor after as well

Basim is not a templar. His outfit says so. I'm thinking maybe basim has just his way of doing things that may look bad to some, but his goals are the same as the assassins

Basic is weak boss compared to the thunder sister or some of the other bosses. I beat hik easily.

I did not see this guy teleport once. So Y did Ubisoft think it was a good idea to let him teleport for no reason

This is NOT the ending. There’s an entire territory/quest after this. Hamtunscire. You don’t even know who the father is yet, the last order of the ancients member.

I'm sorry but this game has a deep lore of Isu that has been focused since the FIRST game

looks pretty neat on my PC.

Basim fucked around and found out. Up to this point, Eivor had been pacifying a country and getting hundreds worth in skill points doing so. Able to duel wield massive axes and practically beat limbs off his opponents. At what point did that Arab nutcase think it was possibly a good idea to turn this person's brother against him and then try to kill both? If it wasn't for plot armour and the ravings of special-ed Ezio fanboys crying for the old days to come back, Basim would be stone cold dead, and Mirage would never have happened.

Eivor is leagues better than Basim. That's it. Basim ran like a coward when the fight got real.
