@@amaranthhierophant186 so you assume he/she doesn't know just because of the "greetings from Finland" part? Instead of thinking it was just a Finn expressing his/her liking of Nordic music and added the greeting at the end because it was a comment from a Finn to a lovely woman from the Faroese? thinking slightly often helps ;) (though I understand it can hurt to do so at times)
To those asking about the language, it is føroyskt which is the beautiful language of the Faroe Islands. Its roots are in old western Norse so it has similarities to the nordic languages, especially Icelandic.

The title means "spellbound". You could imagine a viking maiden sing like this, since the faoese language is very close to what the vikings themselves called "tongue of the danes" (aka "old western norse")... It almost sounds as if she "galdra", sings magic sounds and words, in answer to another "galdra", a spell that is binding her heart... Greetings from the land of the Danes, Denmark...

I've had the priviledge of attending Canmore folk festival 2 years running (2006, 2007) and experiencing this absolutely amazing artisit both times. I have never heard a vocalist with the range, power and tallent either before or since. Every time I hear her sing I'm transported back to the high country and I relive the experience of the most beautiful voice in the most beautiful place on a crystal clear summer night with a billion stars in the sky. And I am so grateful. Eivor was "discovered" and encouraged to come to Canada by Bill Bourne. She was only 19 yrs old the first year at Canmore and a bit nervous on stage but wow. The second year she was still nervous but had added an extra octave to her range and it couldn't have been more amazing. BTW I have never seen a picture or film of her that comes anywhere close to doing her justice.

Incredible song. incredible girl
This is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen in my life.
So beautiful and raw. I tear up every time I hear it. Yes, I have this saved as a favorite.
This is hauntingly beautiful! You can feel all the power and emotion. Chillingly badass. 💛💚💙💜❤️🧡
amazing auditive and emotional diversity in this song. absolutely love it, goosebumps
i love to hear that old nature sounds
Words can‘t express how much i love this... and the woman performing it... All i can say is that i never feel as alive as when listening to this... and that it literally has saved me from losing hope and my mind a couple of times... Thank you... Beautiful... 😘

Thanks H. Fenix. I guess you‘re right... i do have „company“, may be not the right one? I‘m certainly not MY best company... but there you go... Be good and take care...

@@eugenef.vidocq7186 Maybe a spiritual group could help...you'd meet new & often interesting people, such as Zen Buddhism, Tai Chi, Yoga, Eckhart Tolle's or the like. You seem spiritual and very aware of your own situation. These are not easy times but you never know. Again, best of luck and take care.
I always come back this. I love her voice so much!! ♥️
This spellbound my cat. He literally did not look away...😂
