@@EDDIE.EDDISON You "can" almost 😊 - half of the basic words in Danish are similar to their English counterparts, the word order is the same most of the time, and there are no cases for nouns and their articles - just as in English - and so on. Vi [ve] ha(ve)r mange af de samme (w)ord(s), så [soa] en Engelsk-tal(k)ende person kan ofte se hvad deres mening er [air]. We have many ( OE monege ! ) of the same words, så en English-speaking ( -talking) person can often see what their(s) meaning "are". Hav en god dag [day(gh)] 🤗

Í fyrsta skipti skil ég Dönsku :) Eivør er mögnuð *
It's as if we know half of basic E already and "only" have to expand on it instead of learning a completely "foreign" language from scratch. For inst.: Skal jeg [yigh !] synge en sang for dig [digh]? = Shall I sing a song for you (thee)? Lad os [us] gå [go] ud nu [noo] = Let us go out now Der er [air] mange folk her nu, så vi kan begynde. There are many people here now, so we can begin. Vil du sende mig fine ting fra England? = Will you (thou) send me fine things from England?
😍
Probably the most beautiful woman alive !
Normally she would (probably) be speaking Faroese, which is related but more towards Icelandic & some old Norwegian dialects. We in DK can just pic up some words here and there, if we listen hard ;-) Well, act. Danish ( + Swe. & Norw. ) is much closer to E than G in many ways - both with respect to simple vocabulary and the grammar, although some words are sim. to G as well. E is much easier to pick up for us than G with its complex grammar - in E we don't have to think nearly as much ;-)
@Retarior She is an elf goddess.

i know she sings about the viking believes but i saw some Christian images behind her!
I have hoped she would talk færøysk so i could see how close danish snd faroese sounds, yet soooo different

Eivør is talented when it comes to speak different languages, she has a good danish accent while many people in Faroe Island and Iceland have difficulties with the Dansih sounds even they have had Danish in school. Danish and Faroese sounds quite different. Faroese sounds like a hybrid between Icelandic and Norwegian west coast accent. People in Faroe Islands often sounds like speaking a west coast Norwegian accent when they speak in Danish.

It's danish. They learn it in school from young as a second language. Faroese is distinctivly differnt sounding (sounds more similar to Icelandic)
