I dance to this for my husband every night. I always dance for him. He passed January 31st 2020. Now I dance to this. I weep and I feel and I dance and I move and it is primal and it is now. It helps me bleed my sorrow. Thank you so much.

Sorry for your loss, NaMaeCarlson. My wife got killed in a car accident in aug, 2017. She defined herself a wiccan. just never practised. A friend (who lost her partner in 2003) told me: "this will not go away anywhat soon. Cry, as much as you need to cry. And reach out for help from friends. Don't be ashamed about that. Friends will support you." So true. My nowaday fiancé lost her friend, only months after I lost my wife. Brought us closer to each other, in understanding. We are both not religious (when talking about those large religions), but she once said: "They'll both look upon us, smiling, and saying: go on! it's fine!" My condolences. The love for a person we've lost will never die. Yet: there is hope, to find a new love. Someone, who understands. With the blessing of the ones we've lost. Remember. But go on living. Bet your hubby would like to see you, standing tall.

NaMae Carlson, your husband has passed, but not into death as it is understood by most, he passed into another vibrational plane of existence. He shed his physical body for his ethereal one. The Shamans and great teachers of old has always known this and taught it, but today in my opinion the best modern teacher of our true nature is William Buhlman.

You can recognize a true artist when they bring their specific signature to each song and make it their own. When you compare the regular version, with Aurora's version, again with Eivor's version, same song, same lyrics, yet three COMPLETELY different atmospheres and messages. Wonderful.

True... amazing how all those versions have very different feelings. Many singers only try to sound exactly like the original, but it's way better when singers bring their own atmosphere and don't try so hard to be a copy of the original.

The religions of the Middle East did dominate a big part of the world in the times from where this (and all of Wardruna's songs) are inspired. But indeed from a time when nature was a big part of our souls, way of life.. even "religion". (I don't see the old faith as a religion, if compared to the "big ones" that is)
