Great job recording this! Wow! And we've all seen the 2017 version at Torshaven and it still blows my mind today. But, as Eivor always does, every performance offers a new take on all her songs. This version was just awesome! Her vocalizations at the end were reminiscent of her live version of Wake Me Up. Everybody thought the lady who sang with Pink Floyd on Great Gig In the Sky back in the day was unmatched. The recorded version is pretty great, but I also heard her do it live without the studio fixes, and it really paled in comparison. Not so with Eivor! She does the opposite and always cranks it up a bunch of notches live versus studio. She doesn't NEED the studio ever. She can sing/echo into the mountains live, just her and her drum, and totally kill it. This and especially Wake Me Up live blows the Great Gig vocalizations right out of the water and she does it live perfectly gig after gig. In all the live versions of her I've seen on youtube, I've never heard her falter--ever. I'll bet all you who have seen her live would agree. And what a stage presence!!! Her drummer killed it too! All of her guys are incredible. I'm jealous of all you folks who've seen her live. I'm out here in Southern California and can't wait for her to do a full US tour. I know she would come to LA. She's getting so popular that I don't think it will be long.

Ah, totally agree with all you say!! She said in an interview that she'll probably be touring the US during spring, hope you can see her! :)

Thanks for the heads up Jess! Well, its spring here right now so that gives us a year to see how all that unfolds--and get really good seats up front. I'm one of her patreons so we get early bird access to concert tickets. I'll be watching! Thx again!

I AGREE. I hope you're able to see her when she tours the US again. I was fortunate to see her in SF and it was an amazing performance. I was also able to meet her at the merch counter and she's so friendly 💞 She signed all my CDs I have of her music for me. Definitely a special night I will never forget. I hope she comes back to the Bay Area, so I can see her again ♥️🎶

I am speechless! This performance, while so different from the 2012 Torshavn one, is still absolutely incredible! It's like listening to the song for the first time again!! Thank you for recording this performance, one of the absolute best!

I would absolutely LOVE to see Eivor, and just tried to look at purchasing tickets (I live in USA). Apparently I have to buy tickets through TicketMaster... NOPE! Will never do. My question is, if I actually travel to the country (want to see her in Oslo) do I have to go through Ticketmaster, or can I somehow get tickets when I'm there?

@@rachelh-j5006 sometimes you can buy tickets directly from the venue, but I don't see the option in this case, it links you to ticketmaster. Looks like it's low on tickets, so could be sold out soon and then there's no way to buy a ticket the concert day phisically. I must say Ticketmaster is still reliable here in Europe, I think it's pretty different than in the US. Also, she will be touring the US next year so maybe it won't be too long until you can see her in the US :)
