Funnily enough, i feel Vergil has a great jab too, but he does step very heavily into it which sometimes leads to him being read and countered It should be an awesome fight!

I'm too much of a fan of both guys so I can't really be unbiased but I think it's 50/50 , same as errol spence vs terence crawford. I think it's gonna be a good candidate for fight of the year.

He's an incredibly underrated fighter right now. Stanionis vs Ortiz is going to be a great fight.

That's an awesome fight. Would have loved it if Stanionis could have had 1 fight before Ennis to keep him a bit more active though, he's been out over a year now

Finally. The first time I saw this man he reminded me too much of the Golovkin of yesteryear in his years of destruction. His blows place them in an exceptional way. If you are a boxing apprentice and you are interested in knowing the correct way to throw your punches, this is one of the men you have to see

Way underrated!!! This kid is nasty. Not the “hardest” puncher but his shots are so sharp and accurate. His jab is definitely not a range finder…it’s a serious punch!!!

Efficient and superb technique. I like his punch selection on the inside. He's a technical puncher. Great body puncher too. It wouldn't surprise me if he pulls it off against Vergil.

Good fighter. Good power not devastating but good. Good on the inside but has to be set to punch and is going to struggle with someone that can move and jab. If you keep him on the end of a jab and force him to constantly reset he’s going to have problems. If you try to fight him on the inside it’s going to be a long night.

It's hardly his fault with the amount of times Ortiz pulled out of their fight. It's such a shame it never happened because that would have been awesome! I do agree though Stanionis needs a few tune up fights at this point before people totally forget about him.

I thought he was pretty dominant against Butaev apart from a few rounds. Butaev's shots were mostly just arm punches and he never put on a sustained beating like Stanionis did to him. He's an aggressive pressure fighter so he is going to get hit that's just the way it is.

Different weight classes unfortunately bud. Matias wants to stay at 140 lbs and unify the division, Stanionis hasn't fought in a long time now - he needs a few tune ups in my opinion before he gets back in there with a big name at Welterweight.
