Eileen Heckart was one of the most wonderful actresses and beautiful people I ever loved.

My first introduction to Eileen Heckart was in the bad seed. She betrays a grieving mother. It’s only one scene in the film. But it’s so tremendous. It devastated me as a young man. It was a five minute scene and a deserved an Oscar for best supported actress. I wonder if she won it? 1:21

She did not win it for that. She won it for BUTTERFLIES ARE FREE, and she actually had two scenes in THE BAD SEED, Thank you for your kind words about her.
