Eileen Delehanty Pearkes Full Interview

Eileen Delehanty Pearkes is a writer who explores landscape, history, and the human imagination. Her book "A River Captured: the Columbia River Treaty and Catastrophic Change" offers deep insights into the real impacts of the Columbia River Treaty on the landscape and people of British Columbia. "The Geography of Memory," originally published in 2002, was one of the first books to closely examine the history of the Sinixt people in Canada, and a 2022 20th anniversary edition of the book greatly expands on that knowledge, and includes many Sinixt voices.
