Eight-year-old making his mark as a carpenter

AUGUST 29, 2021: Kaden Beckford is not the typical eight-year-old. Instead of playing with toys, his leisure time is spent building things - not using building blocks, but using tools like a hammer and his favourite; a drill.
In an interview at their home in Woodside, Clarendon, his parents told THE STAR that Kaden never showed an interest in toys, instead he has had a knack for carpentry since he was about six years old.

I really like electrical and I can tell you we have a skills gap in the trades and we need more electricians like me which I am 14 right now and we need more carpenters like him who really like carpentry. So keep up the good work because you are really going to be in high demand but very short supply. So I really appreciate what you are doing to help the skills gap narrow down. You could earn so much money doing this if you were in the USA while doing this. And even be a cabinet manufacturer.
