Eight-Time World Champion Stetson Wright Remembers His Relationship With Patrick Gottsch

Stetson Wright, the reigning all-around world champion, shared his heartfelt memories of Patrick Gottsch, the founder of RFD-TV and the Cowboy Channel on Tuesday.
Wright, speaking from Utah, highlighted Gottsch's significant influence on his career and personal life.
"Patrick always made me feel like a superstar," he said. "Whenever I got into a bind, he would drop everything to help me out. I was just lucky enough to have that guy in my corner, that's for dang sure."
Gottsch, affectionately nicknamed "Rodeo Elvis," was a fervent supporter of Wright and played a pivotal role in elevating Wright's bull riding event.
"He took a little open bull riding I had and turned it into a $30,000 added deal with sell-out crowds," Wright said. "It's all because of Patrick."
The eight-time PRCA World Champion also credited Gottsch and the Cowboy Channel for transforming the rodeo world.
"Patrick’s done an outstanding job," Wright said. "He’s changed the rodeo world in more ways than anybody can think of."
