Yeah! He understood he had no room to talk really when he was the worst of all of them. But as soon as he admitted what he did, the others realized just how heartless THEY all were and knew they had to do something. To show how much they appreciate everything he's done for them. Sometimes, it takes a horrible and tragic event to realize just how wrong you are/were about something!

The movie itself is terrible, but it’s something I recommend people to watch because of how confusingly good some parts of it are (like the animation and songs)

I love how everyone's favorite part of this scene is when the cop just randomly comes in and busts out his dance 😂

I love how they incorporate Tango, Yiddish-Jewish music into this song. So beautiful.

I understand Adam Sandler has a certain humor that’s not liked because it’s immature and maybe the same all the time, but he’s still really funny!

Well, he was Opera Man before he started making weak, annoying comedy movies. 8 Crazy Nights is an uneven movie. There's some cringe in it, some shit really falls flat or feels forced, but there's some stuff that feels distinct, funny and well done. As movies go it's in the middle, as Happy Madison movies go, it's at the top. The animation is strong. A lot of the people who worked on it were let go after The Iron Giant tanked.The Iron Giant was a critical success and it's charming as all get-out (90%/96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, 8 stars on IMDB) , but Warner Brothers Feature Animation lost about 35 million dollars on the domestic tickets and just barely broke even in worldwide sales.

I was so moved by this movie, I watched it 3 times in one day. I truly love a good redemption story and one where it builds. It’s a short movie but manages to convey what orphans go through after losing their parents and drop off the map even in their hometowns. It makes you realize that you don’t even really like Davey but you want the best for him because he is a PERSON. Then he redeemed himself by not making the situation about himself but about a best friend who he himself wronged and then calling his community out for not showing this sweet man the validation he deserves. Truly a masterpiece in its own right. I don’t understand those who think this is a bad movie and it makes me respect Adam Sandler for trying to make the public understand that selflessness is truly what can make you happy above all else.

You have to admit. This is just so well done. The serious tone to the story and characters for the first few minutes was fun. Then absolute madness ensues with the Bum Biddy Biddy Biddy Bum Bum synched with the music. The shift of tone is so funny and very well done with the opera type song.

This is so typical. There was a lady in a complex I used to live in. I never grasped why others made fun of her. She always had treats for the kids. Took people to the store. Even ran errands for them. She'd come over to my place and ask if I needed help preparing meals for my kids and the other kids that stopped by throughout the day. When she fell and got hurt people acted like I was a freak for cooking and cleaning for her. It was weird. I watched this for the first time a few years ago and was like I bet that's how Mrs. Yetta felt. And called her to see how she was after not thinking of her for 9 and a half years. I felt like garbage.

I honestly will never understand why people say this is one of the worst movies ever made. Sure Davey is a jackass but he defiantly redeems himself here

Ive always adored this art style since iron giant, its so distinct and fluid and SOOO expressive especially in how they are so detailed with their hands which are soo well drawn. Even though this movie was mid asf, it’s a beautiful movie.

Fun fact I never realized, Adam Sandler for all the crappy movies he's in is actually an amazing actor. Like watch uncut gems, he himself has even admitted he will sometimes do random roles in stupid movies just either a for a paycheck or B just to go on vacation. He's also a multitalented able to actually sing and play guitar and is also probably one of the most wholesome guys in all of Hollywood. It's hard to believe considering this is the same dude who starred in Jack and Jill

I personally believe the theory that jack and Jill was only made to be made as fast as possible to make some money and give some time to Katie holmes so she could divorce Tom cruise since she was not in a good situation there and the church of Scientology coulda easily made her life hell

I think because of its inspiration for Jewish culture.

I like this song. They all finally realize he's a really good guy and they all feel like a-holes for how they mistreated him and they realize he's better them.

This is one of the most infectiously likeable bad movies I've ever seen. It's pretty terrible on every front, but it does have its moments from time to time. 3/10, I loved it.

I know Adam Sandler isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I like him, and this movie. And, he has a really good singing voice.

Everyone: “ha look at this fool trying to convince us we were wrong!” Literally Everyone 3 minutes later:”BUM BIDDY BIDDY BIDDY BUM BUM BUM BIDDY BIDDY BIDDY BUM!!!!!”

Adam Sandler has an amazing singing voice.

Actually Charlize and LWA are both right. The spilberg looking dude in the end is doing the Russian form of the dance. It's a reference to Fiddler on The Roof

Charlize Akkerman You’re both correct. It’s not a coincidence that many European Jews had Russian customs. Russia had the second largest Jewish population in the world, until WW2. Adam Sandler is also of Russian-Jewish decent.

This song and the end scene at the mall are my fave parts. I just got to see the whole movie the other night -- and OMGosh, the very end moved me so deeply, I was crying. I don't really care for Whitey or Davey, but I'm still happy for both at the end. I need to remember to keep some tissues handy, when I watch movies with heart-string-pulling endings ... ... in this scene, Jennifer sings like an angel. I love where her part starts. ^_^ Only she got something just slightly off. This was NOT the first time Whitey needed everyone. Not if he has been coming to this thing every Christmas for years ...

I feel bad for whitey in this part ngl.

Characters like Whitey are very relatable in one way or another being an outcast, perceived outcast and whatnot.
