Eid Mubarak! Selamat Hari Raya, I just recently discovered your channel and found your videos so beautiful and aesthetic mashAllah Allahumma Barik. I have been seriously considering moving to Malaysia with my family sometime this year. We are going to visit in September. I've lived in Canada and the states my whole life... but these past few years I have really wanted to leave and live in a muslim country. Life here is increasingly more and more suffocating, especially with a lot of things that are beings pushed in schools/ how our tax dollars are funding genocide. It's so difficult being a muslim in the West and I truly feel the quality of life in other parts of the world is honestly so much better. Honestly, just having access to halal food everywhere, hearing the azan, for the hijab to be absolutely normalized... would be such great blessings since I just officially started wearing hijab two months ago. I visited Malaysia many years ago and really enjoyed it. Would love to know if you have any advice on how one would go about building a community there? (since mashAllah you honestly seem to have such a good group of friends)

I hope that you’ll find joy and happiness in every decision you’ll be making 🤍 Alhamdulillah I’m surrounded by friends I made from school and places I worked at. To be completely frank, I rarely go out of my way to voluntarily make new friends so I might not be the best person to answer your question- but what i think would be a good start, is by meeting new people through hobbies i.e attending any workshops (depending on your preferences) or community activities held here (you may check out @mereka.community on Instagram for more events and details!) One thing I can say is that people here is very accommodating so hopefully you’ll have a pleasant experience 🤍
