I think it’s more important how the water passes through the media not how fast it does

My 2262 pump hums excessively loud. Does yours? I've had my filter for four years and just ordered a replacement pump with hopes it will be quieter. Eheim pumps have a reputation for being quiet and maybe I have a lemon. 🤞

Hi what I do with my pump is between base and pump a 2-5mm rubber base , it absorbs vibration, also sometimes I’ve had hose vibration if it touches anything, a simple piece of wrapped cloth will suffice.

@@shauns3685 I installed a rubber pad designed to absorb vibration. No improvement. My replacement pump barely vibrates!

@@johnfadds6089 3400/1262. It's the same model that comes with the Eheim 2262 canister filter. The replacement pump is much quieter.
