New Zealand money is plastic, as well as Australia I believe. It's great as it doesn't rip easily so no worries about having broken bills floating around your bag :'D This trip sounded so special. I love hearing about your journeys in Egypt.

I love this video so much. I have such an interest in the beauty and culture of Egypt. You are so lucky to travel there with someone who knows the country and the language. I'm so happy you got to spend such wonderful time with your hubby. I love this kind of travel journal with all the little receipts, packaging, photos, tickets, etc. Such wonderful memories.

How wonderful to get to see your hubby Barbara, and a wonderful Egyptian adventure. I used to study Egyptology and each week just before I'd leave I'd get a phone call to pick up my daughter from school because she was supposedly sick, but she loved the classes so much she used to fake being sick every week, then the school said to me one day, this child knows so much where has she been, Egyptology classes I used to think. We too have plastic money in Australia, I find it doesn't go in the self serve machines at the supermarket very well at all. This was lovely to see all your treasures from your holiday.

Thank you for sharing your holiday memories with us Barbara. What striking colours in your photos. The blue of the sky was stunning. More fun facts from me, this time about currency…. Australia was the first country to introduce polymer banknotes in 1988. By 1996, we had completely switched to these banknotes. Other countries that have completely polymerised their currency notes include Canada, the Maldives, Brunei, Mauritania, Nicaragua, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Romania and Vietnam. Beautiful. Your pictures captured beautiful things and colors. But then you showed the markets and the canals and Cruise Ships…. There was so much to see and wonder at. I could just imagine all the things hitting your senses from you being there. The smells from the teas and spices, all of the beautiful, handmade items in the shops. The noises of animals and shopkeepers, shoppers, music coming from everywhere (I’m using my imagination now. Lol). When you brought out your Spices and Teas, my mind immediately went to how these teas would look as tea dyed papers! Can’t wait. We know it’s coming. Love your layout! (I’d also love to go to Egypt one day, but it’s pretty far from Australia. All the notes in Australia are plastic, though I believe the proper term is ‘polymer’. (They go through the wash so much better than the paper ones). They’ve also added tactile dots to the notes here to help people with a vision impairment: 1 dot for the $5, 2 for $10, 3 for $20, 4 for $50 and 5 for $100 😊 The windows with the symbol in make it more difficult to copy (forge)

Thank you for sharing these lovely pages. You have inspired me as we have also just gotten back from our trip to Egypt. We also did the Nile cruise and visited the same Nubian village. It had been a life long dream of mine to visit this magical country and it did not disappoint. Hunted down the date snack cookies from dephemerember because I just had to try them while I was there. Now to get started journaling my adventures.

17:50. This episode inspired me to print some of my own existing photos and put them through die cutting machine with a tag-shaped die. Those could be stored in a dedicated journal and used as gift tags during Christmas season, for example.

I would love to see Egypt, such beautiful mythology! Oh my mother did that cruise 😁. Oh I don't like our new plastic money, you can't fold and tuck it in your bra because it springs open 😄. That is so gorgeous 😍.Yes I love the ring 😍. I've used the wrong brush before but loved the results🙊. 😋 lemon wafers 😋. Oh what an amazing village! 🙊 at the selfie. I wouldn't want to leave. 😋 cumin, cinnamon and ginger, you're making me salivate😄. Oh awesome 'key'. Lol you make me giggle 🙊. I love EVERYTHING, such a warm sunny (and tasty) layout and amazing photos 😍😍😍. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖
