absolutely. if you've tried one of the newer garbage chinese unbranded trimmers (yes, I know that virtually all trimmers are made in china, the issue isn't the place it is the brand and whoever contracted the factory to slap their sticker on the product), the quality of the components on the head and the way they fit makes it absolute agony, but otherwise, it's really not that hard

You can buy an echo head that does a similar thing but manually for around $20 and it fits moast of all weed eaters

Actually just push in two tabs to pop off the cover and pull out the line ridiculously easy.

Not for this particular model. Just did thus today. All you have to do on this model? Push in on the green 2 internal clips, one on each side and twist. The cap comes off. You pull out all the trimmer line. Put the cap back on. Insert about 16 feet of line until there is about 8 feet on equal sides. Push the button you see being held here? And it self reminds in seconds. Took about 3-5 minutes from start to finish. ECO brand.

do all of them do this?

For some reason, mine won't feed all the way through. I have to remove the cap, feed it manually, close it and only then will the load button work. Still beats the way my previous trimmer loads (100% manual with single use strips).

Why didn't they made that first before the wheel.right like my dad always told me I get everything backwards.

Is this a specialty item, or, can you do this with any ego weed trimmer?

When you load new string, make sure you leave approx. 6 inches of new string sticking out! I was winding all of it in and it wouldn’t feed. Finally figured it out.

Bro tgats hacking I do it the old fasiond way ig What are you gonna do when the line brakes of inside or like mome sometimes dose melts to itself internally

Don't leave them on the charger, and when storing it for your next cut, leave it at 75% full and over winter 50% full, batteries hate sitting with full charge. It's like sitting with a stomach full of gas.
