Stuff I’ve learned from this game in defense…. Stay goal side, cut passing lanes, use match up, don’t overcommit, don’t tackle manually in the box because a penalty will be called no matter what. Learn to deal with conceding bullshit because it’s an inevitability. That’s all I know. I hope to learn something new from this video.

Konami controls how much you can actually win to keep you addictive!!! . Of course the game is based in skills, strategy and players stats. But as well in probability… I have make some measures an notice that after some time you have played and win fair and square, the game drastically mess with the percentage of rebounds, defensive reaction, successful passes and shoots to goal in your favor Haven’t you felt sometimes the Mbappé of the other guy has unreal speed and accuracy and yours its just a normal DC. Same happens with extra aggressive defenders while yours look dull, doesn’t matter how much you tweak the TRAINNING stats. You ever felt like this Y’all ?

Nice video. Please tell me what you mean with automatic defending? How i do that.? And also whats the pressings for in ef23 because then the players with cursor on it is just running at opponent without controlling. I don't get it😅 how is also possible to intercept passes? Is that automatic or do i have to switch fast then press ? Switch to players or to ball? Whats better? Thx bro

There is another option for defending. If you dont have the ball just switch to the goalkeeper and watch the AI defend for you.

@@dannythurlow3313 If you play against bad players yes defenitely XD Its funny to watch. But i would not recommend to use it against div 1 players. But sometimes its good to switch for a short time to the goalkeeper if the cpu dont give you a good player to pick so you dont mess up the defensive formation.

I hold X button on PS and it follows the ball without me even moving the stick. So i use it to defend because it just follows the player that has the ball

Very informative video mate! We need a video on how to face different opponents , for example how to play against a one touch pass opponent, people that spam crosses , people who sit deep and play counter etc..

I use Claudio Souceck as manager, a fake one that konami gives for free. He has 70 playstyle in every style, and then I adjust depending on the opponent. If my opponent is strong and play quick-counter, I play long-ball counter, because defense stays more deep and the opponent cannot make dangerous runs. If i face possession, I play quick-counter, as my players press more aggressively and the opponent cannot touch the ball so easily and slowly. If I face long-ball counter, I play long-ball counter or long ball. In long ball the defence line stays a bit higher. Also all my players have 90 playstyle in every style, so my playstyle overall is always 90 or more. This way of adapt to how your opponent plays has given me some good results. Anyway, just my 2 cents!

@@NWOLife I think it depends how you like to play, and what are your strengths and weaknesses as a player. And of course the players playstyle have a massive role on this. I like to play fast, and for that I need to have numbers up front. At the moment my formation is this: SS CF CF AMF AMF DFM CB CB CB RB The only individual instruction is offensive in Rb. I play Arnold and his crosses are deadly, but I turn off that instruction if opposition is too strong on that side

I just had a game where the opponent didn't do any skill moves but outmoved me mit 1 on 1 with Left stick I had no idea what to do he outmoved me like a madmen just with Left stick spinning around like a clown but it fkn worked (I'm new to the game division 4).

Am I right that individual tactics work only if yuo manually activate sub-tactic by holding dpad up? I tried testing it without activating sub-tactic during match, but didn't notice any cnanges after setting up individual tactics, unlike when I activated it manually with dpad up.

@@eFootballUniverse Did you test it? Well, individual tactics are located under sub-tactic category, i assume there's some logic in it, no? Anyway, i just put my RB and LB into Defensive. When sub-tactic is not activated, they run above my MFs and even higher, when I activate sub-tactic with dpad, ivdividual tactics start to work and they stay in the same line with my CBs. Same thing with Counter Target put on my LWF and RWF, if i don't activate sub tactic, they always join defense, if i activate it, they're far ahead of the rest of my players and don't join defense.

you don't need defensive because anchor man stays in position. Deep line is up to you

Sometimes contextual blocking works, sometimes not. Sometimes manual blocking works, sometimes not. Give us one or the other but that works. This game is such a mess.

A number of tutorials just talk about what to do. I'm new to the game. Can you show what controls you are using at the time things are happening. Also even tutorials on corner kicks and what controls to press to set up per set plays. No one actu6shows you the controls. Thanks for the video

The script works both ways. At times it works in your favor and others against you. Sometimes you’ll have situations where your defenders feel like they have 300kg’s on their backs and have to deal with it

There are already many videos on how to play defense in fifa. Because this garbage update is nothing but a new fifa. I can't describe how disappointed I am the game is completely ruined

It’s not Konamis fault that people these days want to win games without really playing them. They’re just making money and catering to the majority. If they lose all of us purists they won’t be losing much revenue. Gaming itself is pretty much dead anyway. All devs have the same goals in mind.
