    Hi, I know this video is over 3 years old but I just got a Habu STS 70mm and I took it to my local flying field and they just cut the grass and there was quite a bit of clippings all over the runway and on top of the grass. I took off with no problems but I landed in the grass and then went to takeoff again and had little to zero power….looked inside of fan and it was packed with grass clippings!! Cleaned it out and had no problems whatsoever. I don’t know if this would work but it would be nice if you could put an intake screen to prevent this from happening again, just a thought. I love this jet!!!! Be safe and enjoy

    It would work some but your performance would really suffer and the esc would not get properly cooled.

    That makes total sense…I guess the best is to avoid grass clippings lol. Thank you for your response. I do have one question if you are able to help me with……I have a 3s 4000 spectrum smart pack and with it pushed ALL the way forward the STS is still tail heavy. Either I have my CG set wrong or I am doing something wrong, any ideas?

    Heeeey I just discovered your new post. I thought you had retired from flying & have not seen your video's for a while. She looks a great jet....but much too expensive if its ever released here in OZ. I would be around A$780 for the one with SAFE as you get a Transmitter etc which I don't need. The better value I think would be the almost identical Arrows Marlin A$225 here delivered. But love watching your flight & very exciting for you. I just received two of the new AR630 receivers to program aircraft with. Keep safe & well

    Any ideas for a sturdy/slow flying wing for FPV head tracked flight(with yaw)?

  • @FatGuyFliesRC

    @FatGuyFliesRC

    The Opterra The big one. But It does not have a rudder. Your not going to find a wing with a rudder. for yaw control.

    @@FatGuyFliesRC I think yaw could be placed on the wing stabilizers somehow but that's just me.

    No portable, but Geo Tech is commonly used. Its fabric that is stretched over leveled fields. Its what is seen on my AVON Park field videos.

    Make sure you velcro them on that way you can move them from plane to plane. careful with painted surfaces with the velcro.

    Thanks for the. Video. I ordered mine two weeks ago did about 3 flights already. Fly’s awesome for my first plane. I have flown Helis and DJI Drones before but just wanted to fly airplanes for the longest time. I seen your video about checking the glue points for the wings and will definitely check mine ASAP. I am in Delray Beach Florida and we get a lot of wind here off the ocean. What kind of wind can these foam airplanes take? Also are those lights wired or just stick on with battery?? Thanks Anthony from Florida

  • @FatGuyFliesRC

    @FatGuyFliesRC

    The lights are just wireless rechargable lights that velcro on. They are called EASY LIGHTS . Google wirless rc leds. Typically 15 mph or under for large robust foamies . 10 mph or under for standard. and calm for the micros. Of course that depends on you skill level and type of plane. A sport glider does great in almost all wind but a standard size warbird may have issue with landings. It just depends on your confidence in your plane really. FYI I subded in anticipation to you posting that habu video!!
