I choose to borrow a bit from boxing. The techniques you are teaching take a Ton of practise, and actual application in order for them to be effective "In the Street." I have spent a good num- ber of hours applying the "Slap block," followed by a lightening quick lateral "Slip" to the side of the opponent. In a fraction of a second, I then punch---with intense Focus and Ferocity, to the person's gut...Or, I can apply a very quick, low "thrust kick" to his knee. These two options can be learned quicker than the more difficult techniques you offered---though they are good. Another good option that incorporates boxing technique is, simply "Dropping," or Ducking down low and SLAMMING the guy with a shot to whatever part of his body that is open. Yeh---the guy can react to those moves, but if you're Quick enough, they DO work. Fast footwork is a MUST! And exceptional lateral movement Makes these techniques very effective.
Excellent thank you your wing chun is one of the best on KZread 👍💪

Great lesson thank you 👍
Fab explanation 👌
Educational perfect stuff! Thanx a lot!
I'm gonna try that thing in the beginning. My neighbours are gonna love it :)
i like your stuff and do learn alot
Great episodes
Simply Great
Thanks Sifu Adam!
Excellent video, I always add to my learning and build deeper understanding of various principles and techniques. Using relaxation to absorb shock and be springy also is used when striking to accelerate and snap with speed at impact. The more your body learns to root securely and work together as a unit your balance, skill, coordination improve. It also is cool how you blend tips from many styles into your videos.
Praying for you guys!
Thanks Sifu🙏
Nice video guys
This is great sifu
In translation Sifu, the Pak sou and palm strike have a passage of reverse energy dynamics central to the Si Lim Tao elbow.
I don't know wing chung . I want to learn it and I will do these solo drills. Thank you for teaching.
Muy bueno
1:08 that first Pak Adam, would be a JAK JEUNG SIDE PALM. Just a clarification.
Adam, I had a question regarding pak-ing and punching if the force is too much. I know you mentioned relaxing the arm and having a spring effect but how does that play into if you need to move a bit to the side and forward while pak-ing. I find that I always lose a bit of balance, get rocked back a bit, or get rebound force. Am I not planting my feet properly? Are my feet in mid movement when I catch their punch with a pak, hence the getting rocked back? Thanks!
Can you do a fight with resistance please
vịnh xuân quyền thật tuyệt.tôi yêu sự nhanh nhẹn của nó.cám ơn video của bạn
Real WC top guy.
I would like some exercises for biu sau.. I am a small guy and training alot of tan sau makes very little sense to me, when people comming at me are way higher. Plus many people at youtube says most streetfights are high round throws ..
Center of the palm, right. I’ve heard things like a heel palm strike b4
Very good. This Is wing chun
Muito bom :)
I am happy to announce the Wing Chun course that I promise is finally release on my new site at www.adamchankungfu.com . I am sorry for the delay. I wanna thank Cris for all the hard work , all my online students on my Old site and all my youtube subscribers. Thank you .
1 tip. Pak sao is better scored by creating an opportunity. Not trying to catch the first action. 😉💯💥meaning... we hit the face, the body. When they get good at blocking. We hit the arm. ☮️PAK SAO DA arm and face simultaneously
1:32 good traps.
I dont get it so how do u punch if you don't move the hand
Ouch for the big guy😬😬
I like this mostly, but to be frank they weren’t punches being delivered by his partner, the chances of someone outside wing Chun using a straight punch will be like winning the lottery! I prefer to call it feedback! I would really only utilise a pak mostly in response to a jab or in combination with a trapping technique or an offensive combination technique
I had to reduce the playback speed to 0.25 before I saw anything clearly.

8 years ago (when I started the interest in wing chun) until today there was not such a good explanation of wing chun on you tube. A very small number of videos were good.

please first ask your opponent: are you punching straight or curve??
I'm amazed that in 2020 with all the information available there are still people believing in styles totally inefective from other centuries. They are probably fascinated by Master Yip Man even though nobody knows if what he taught in HK was the whole System or not. He was from the upper class and taught in HK to labour class people out of necessity, probably little or not motivated at all. He taught to only 5 students laconically. That is the truth the rest is pure myth.

95% of the wing chun being taught is simplified stuff. The unsimplified version is A LOT more detailed. This Pak Sao "slapping" is NOT an important technique in the original unsimplified curriculum, in fact it is hardly used at all.
@kraftwerk974
3 жыл бұрын
@@originalrbp2869 that is the problem. There is always something apparently hidden and secret in chinese styles for the sake of making more money (for instance the BiuGee form ...). With all the due respect what unsimplified WC are you talking of?
