I paint several thin layers of paint diluted with water, to avoid lumps since acrylic dries very quickly

i've been meaning to ask, when you sculpt with this clay do you need to sculpt the body. Then allow it to cure. Sculpt the first leg then allow it to cure and so on, etc.?
