Eesti Laul 2024: After Show - My Top 20 (with comments) [Estonian ESC Selection]
So...I actually had to rewatch this whole selection because I accidentally deleted my semi rankings lol. Honestly though, I didn't mind it; aside from my Bottom 2 here, for the most part enjoyed all of these live performances. I guess it helped knowing that literally everyone knew who was gonna win going in, which took a lot of the pressure off. Let's just hope they scrap the AQ system next time because uh. Yikes.

YES!!! VETEVAIM.... and agreed on cartoon, they really know what they're doing musically but whyyy is the staging always like that lol. this was a pretty star-studded NF for us! I'm not surprised nele-liis got so much from the juries, they probably felt like they needed to combat the obvious top 2 somehow. happy with the winner but also yeah, vetevaim is forever in my heart. so glad you like it!

I think we have the same Top 3, but in different orders. All that to say, so glad someone else appreciates "Vetevaim" as much as me. I knew it was going to be ignored by the fandom and in Eesti Laul, but seriously 0 points in its SF is just plain stupid. Completely agree on Cecilia's take too, it's a hard song to stage and she did great. Out of the *obligatory female pop fan-favourite from each NF*, I think FOMO was one of the best. That chorus is full of drive! Shame it didn't do well in EL.

Same here. Apparently she was in Eesti Laul before and improved a lot even since then.

I'm glad you liked the winner if you didn't I'd have been devastated. But your taste is wonderful so naturally you liked it.

To be fair, most people like it...aside from the types that think Eurovision is automatically gonna become a clown show the second they see a lighthearted entry
why are cartoon allergic to staging their songs normally? first they had this weird 3d avatar in 2016 and now this nightmare fuel. laura robbed x

I looked at their 2016 entry and I actually think its staging concept is pretty cool (although it didn't age that well and they shouldn't have done the "reveal" until much later). The one they did this year just looked goofy.

@@JH3Eurovision I guess. I'd probably like to see cartoon at esc someday, i was excited to potentially get some dnb, but as far as electronic music goes cartoon have always been kinda mid. so maybe not.
