Ethan Allen ...if Koresh was boinking kids, which there is no proof of, then the local/state police should’ve got a warrant and arrested him. Since when is the answer to child molestation to go in and kill all the victims, and also kill the perpetrator without a trial? The ATF agents didn't "try to enter", they charged up in black unmarked vehicles, wearing full SWAT tactical gear, carrying scaling ladders, cameras rolling and got shot to pieces by the Koresh members inside the house. The local Sheriff told the Feds prior to the raid that he could get Koresh to come to his office but they refused the offer. The raid was a total FU beginning with the fact that the ATF got lost, asked a local for directions who then told the Davidian compound that federal company was coming. This had nothing to do with suspected pedophilia as Federal Attorney General Reno stated and everything to do with the Feds wanting to make a point to militia groups.

What the miniseries didn't show you was their husbands pouring Coleman oil in the hallways and on hay piles and lighting the compound on fire - which the surveillance tapes proved they did. The government sucks, but these people weren't angels. You don't stockpile guns if you're not looking for a fight and you don't move your kids into a compound run by a pedophile who's collecting child brides to repopulate the Earth after "the end times."

The warrant. David Koresh jogged several times a week with other members of the congregation. He could have been served easily without incident or any danger to law enforcement. As I recall the warrant was over two fully automatic weapons which could have classed them as machine guns. I was talking with a dentist at a conference. He admitted that the largest per capita holders of tax stamps for machine guns in the United States were his fellow dentists. One dentist from California overhearing this conversation looked like he was beginning to have a coronary. Began hyper-ventilating. However culturally shocking it is to the audience, it is perfectly legal within the United States to own a machine gun; as long as you pay the tax, purchase the tax stamp. What was the warrant over? $400 in allegedly unpaid taxes. 80 people died over $400 in tax stamps. That was all the evidence ATF had from their undercover informant, Robert Rodriguez (not the film director). Everything else was a fishing expedition.

They made the claim there was illegal weapons trade, that they were running a drug operation, and sexual abuse towards children. However, all of these allegations were confirmed to be FALSE! The guns were legally purchased, several members confirmed David never used drugs nor encouraged the distribution of illegal drugs, and as far as sexual abuse... there was a form of child discipline that took place at the compound, but David was accused of this by former Branch Davidians a year before the raid took place and there was no evidence to convict him. So, where did the federal government get this information from? And how did they convince a judge to get them a search warrant?

@LVhasAIDS Were you aware no ballistics were entered into evidence on their deaths at trial? Bit of a problem, irregularity. Why would that be, LV? Hard as you may find this to accept, the possibility has never been eliminated those were all "friendly fire" incidents. One thing to observe. BATF are not, were not, Special Forces. You get near 80 agents out there going full auto with minimal training on flanking and field of fire issues. Add in weapons fire from helicopters overhead. 10,000 rounds expended in a very short time into a light frame building . . or through a light frame building perhaps? The BIG PROBLEM is that this kaka plan was executed in the first place. Five FBI agents in one Crown Vic arrested John Gotti the crime boss. If you're going to stage a media event, give the majority of the doofs blanks. As it was the whole lot of them expended their last round. If the Davidians had a mind to, they could have stepped outside and taken 80 agents down. Instead they agreed to a cease fire, for what good that did them. Just trying to give some sense of how completely poorly this was executed.

It’s documented proof of the burnt up fuels cans being found from inside the remains of the burnt building. people need to research everything before they give false accusations.

I went through training with the Dept. Of Corrections, one of the topics we discussed was the usage of CS gas which is what the ATF used. You can't just pump CS into a building indiscriminately, that alone can kill people. Additionally, it can become combustible in high concentrations and with the introduction of incindiary devices (FBI admitted to utilizing flash bangs while pumping CS into their compound). This was all over the accusation of 2 fully automatic weapons that at the time of the siege there was NO EVIDENCE SUPPORTING THEIR EXISTENCE ON THE PROPERTY. The ATF carried out this failure to redeem themselves after the murders of Randy Weaver's son and wife some 8 months prior at Ruby Ridge. Gun's don't kill people, THE FEDS DO

I will never forget the scene on the television when I walked into my house. My Father was watching T.V. very intensely, so I glanced at the screen to see what he was focused on. I was shocked to see a tank that was battering the side of a building; trying to knock it down. People were screaming, there was chaos, and I assumed it was taking place in another country during a political upheavel of some sort. I turned my head and asked my Dad "what country is this taking place in?" He answered "Texas". I was shocked. I feel very strongly about the incident and feel very badly for the people who were burned to death, including the little girl who was clutching a Bible in her hand when she was set aflame. The research I did into this matter made my soul cringe at the sight of the carnage. This was a terrible act committed by the government. A Cult? Almost all of the mainstream religions fit the definition. It was an considered an unpopular "cult" by the government but the people were well liked by the neighbors and town.

If some secular person allowed a child to be put in danger then you would say they were responsible..but all of a sudden since “GOD” told them it was their destiny it’s okay...if there is a hell I hope they are in it suffering terribly.

It was extremely eerie and the fact that something terrible happened there was evident in the aura of the place! Pretty crazy place

Don't Google what happened. The FBI covered this whole thing up. Your government MURDERED WOMEN CHILDEREN AND MEN. They killed a teenager on a tower. The ATF started the fires in the building and shot people trying to escape. There's a little thing called freedom of religion. The Branch Davidians had been a CONGREGATION for decades. What's creepy and chilling is you are misinformed and biased against innocent people. THE ATF AND THE FBI MIHANDLED AND RAILROADED THESE PEOPLE. Oh gosh, they were so weird. And the whole stockpiling of weapons BS? They.ate in TEXAS...they were also liscensed gun dealers. Ask the Sherriff..he used to use their shooting range. Ask the local coroner why the government confiscated bodies?. And then they bulldozed the whole c.f. time scene. Hmmm. Your naive and misinformed.

Koresh put himself in that position and his followers did not question it. They willingly went along with it and were prepared to die for him and their cause. These are well-established facts, and they can be found in any number of books on the cult.

I noticed that the memorial with all those names and dates on it had rocks along the top like the Jewish custom of leaving stones on graves. I didn't follow the siege and fire when those events happened but I do remember them. I'm reminded of the Jonestown murders and suicides from 1979. I couldn't look at the newspaper photos for a week, they upset me that much.

apparently, Branch Davidian is an offshoot of Seventh Day Adventists I guess, and they've been around since at least the mid 50's. I visited the compound about a month ago, and the people that live there now DO NOT worship Koresh, or are waiting for his return. In fact, if you walk up to the church doors, they have a pamphlet that almost shames Koresh for thinking he was a prophet. Just wanted to clear that up. A very sad and fascinating place though, nonetheless. RIP to all the victims of that day.

The government busted them because, they weren't paying taxes. First shots fired were ATF. Occupants shot back in self defense because, they never announced they were coming. No warrants either. It's actually legal to shoot a cop/s who arrive with force unannounced and unwarranted n Texas. That's what they did. There was no evidence of rape or child abuse. And for the sex stuff... the fact that he said he would “take the burden of lust on himself so no one else had to” is insane. No one else was allowed to have sex. And they’re wives were taken away. To inspire and encourage followers to bully, harass and threaten parents who whose children were recently murdered is one of the most evil and cruel things I’ve ever seen a public figure do in my life. If you’re one of the type who were ok with Alex Jones’ treatment of the Sandy Hook victims and victims families, you’re an extremely sick, disgusting person.

The fact that's maybe the most sickening, is that Timothy McVey cited his reason for the Oklahoma City bombing was revenge for the Waco tragedy.

WTF are you even on about?? Kartash was a nutcase, and McVey (equally nuts) sympathized with him. It's not the media's fault that both were completely psycho. My comment had nothing to do with politics, I'm not even old enough to remember OKC or Waco, I barely remember when McVey was executed. I'm just stating a fact that's been out there for 20+ years, that people on this cesspool of a website would understand if they'd just take off the tin foil hat for 10 fucking minutes and do their damn research.

I’ve been there two times in 2009, 2014. As you drive in there is a trailer house on the right side. The man that lives in the trailer is the minister of the new davidian church. He was very nice and it was interesting to talk to him. He was there when Koresh was but he left sometime before the raid/siege. In 2014 when I talked to him he’d had part of his leg amputated. Diabetes maybe? He may not be alive anymore. But if you go stop at the trailer and chat with him. He enjoys telling the story of what happened there.

I was in Dallas a few weeks ago and was strongly drawn to visit this site. I'm glad that I did. I am still processing my emotions about it. There's something about the loss of the innocent children that affects me so strongly. I left there and went to the Texas Depository where Oswald shot Kennedy. Then to the graves of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow. Left that city so depressed, I had to seek therapy. Just kidding, but certainly left there thinking what a crazy place this world can be at times.

The raid occurred just a few days after the first World Trade Center bombing, and reports in the media were that Koresh had recently purchased 2.5 tons of ammonium nitrate, which is was popularly used in truck bombs. The Branch Davidians weren't farmers at the time. Maybe they were massacred for intentending to grow crops while in possession of a firearm.

Good video. I do have an edit though. The Davidians that live there currently do not worship David Koresh. There was actually a Branch Davidian cult before Koresh joined and these people still follow those teachings.

I remember when it happened. About to show my age, I was about to turn 12 a few months later. It was all over the news. Even to the point I asked I think my history teacher and my parents to explain what was going on. Both told me, "Don't worry, you are too young to understand." David Koresh was nuts and brainwashed people to believe in crazy stuff. It is sad people died, but kill kids is always insane no matter what the situation is.

Hello sweet Dan! I just discovered this second channel of yours tonight! I'm so excited! More of your wonderful videos to watch! ThAnk you so much for all you do! And to sweet Will too! Y'all are a fabulous team! Your sensitivity in handling this particular video was really great. You've got a fabulous sense of humor and you know when scenes call for an altogether different tone. Thank you.My ex husband and his family were personal friends with David Koresh and went to church with him in Odessa, TX. They were friends with Koresh until Koresh was kicked out of that Seventh Day Adventist church for his radical behavior and beliefs. Shortly after that is when Koresh and his followers moved to just outside the Waco area and he (Koresh aka Vernon Howell) so they could "worship" and live as they wanted. They moved to Waco after that..as we all know.Your film means so much to me, Dan, because of the consequences of that "friendship" between my ex husband and David Koresh. I knew nothing of the Branch Dividian or of David Koresh or any family bonds or of their strange sexual ritualistic beliefs regarding children...none of this I knew before we were married, or even the first year or two of marriage. I would have run the other way.Now being divorced for close to 20 years, caring for my disabled 21 year old child that was sexually abused by not only her father, but by his whole family during visitation....she is permanently physically and mentally scarred... Your film helps me so much, Dan. NOT because I want to see where they died. It helps to see where they lived and worked and carried on with their every day business. They were terribly confused and sick and so on a wrong path--- just like my ex husband and his family. (They are still free by the way- I have boxes of evidence, spent 2 years trying to get them put in jail-- I know that God will take care of them though- at least my precious daughter is alive)Just thank you so very much for this film. I live in Houston, but have never had the opportunity to travel to Waco. Life has been rougher than usual lately; and your video really helped to heal some places that I didn't know needed healing. Thank you once again. Take care.Hugs and love to you dear Dan.Oh And please excuse any weird spelling or spacing on this. I'm sitting on my bed in the pitch dark black (so my daughter thinks I'm sleeping) typing on my Kindle and the kindle really wants to be the boss!Hugs- my real name is Wendy xo to you and Will

Dan, I just recently discovered your videos on You Tube, just subscribed to your channel today, I would like for you to know how much I appreciate the effort you put into doing these videos, I've seen a lot of these videos of the subject matter you film, and I must say that you are the most articulate and professional utube video producer that I have seen so far and I have seen a bunch, but I enjoy yours the best by far. I like the way you keep the viewer informed on your subject matter and location, town, state and etc. Must Utube videos don't even give you a clue where they are located. Anyway just wanted to take the time to thank you for the outstanding work you do. I noticed that you move around the country quite a bit. Just curious, do you and your helpers live in an RV? In one state one video then another state in the next. Dan, keep those good videos coming, and I hope you can continue to do so, so the best of luck to you and your crew. PS: I just saw Rolling Acres Mall, how sad it was to see that, you get an A plus from me on your coverage of that one.... So long for now, i'll be watching and commenting.

This situation should have never escalated the way it did. Koresh could have been arrested easily, alone, by the Sheriff. However, after hearing about the botched raid, and the ensuing debacle, I was NOT surprised, the BATF being a federal agency. While serving 22 years in the military, I encountered wild eyed, wide eyed 'leaders', who couldn't wait to make a name for themselves. Not to mention, these very same people would climb over ANYBODY to make sure that they somehow, highlighted themselves for glory, at ANYONE'S expense! Then there was the charge of 'suspected pedophilia'. If that were true, are we to now know as to the tactic U.S. law enforcement agencies use regarding said crime? Is that how U.S. law enforcement agencies approach 'suspected pedophilia? Burn the children alive?!?

One thing to point out is that the Branch Davidians had a foundation setup prior to David Koresh joining their cult. They were initially church members that broke away from the Seventh Day Adventist church in the 1930s, and had a foundation of worship for nearly 60 years before David Koresh joined. So it was never something David started, but he definitely went to an extreme in 1990 with being labeled "the sinful messiah" and claiming all the women as his wives.
