i just hate that there's so few video's on the internet about him training... i find it very inspiring and motivating to see.

I love to see Valero train man i haven't really seen other boxers who train so intense... just like Pacquiao... and like in interviews with e.g. Josesito Lopez he says: " Valero was just an animal man... he wouldn't get tired." and another interview with Abel Sanchez: " Valero was very special, he was an animal... he would do twice as much as his trainer would ask him to do." If you hear all those things after his death you just say man i wish this guy was still alive...

@crabbit87 Valero suffered a head injury from a motorcycle accident, he wasn't wearing a helmet. Made him even more crazy. He was cleared to fight in Texas, he had one fight. Before Edwin died it was looking like he was to be cleared to fight in the rest of the States.

Linares es talentoso y podra ser campeon de nuevo. Fue una derrota dolorosa y su confiansa puede ser da~ada pero muchos lo han logrado superarlo. Mi idolo Don Salvador Sanchez sufrio una derrota en su comienso de su carrera y hoy dia es considerado como una Leyenda del boxeo. Saludos de un Mexicano.

you can see looking at Valero's eyes there is some sort of disconnection from emotions which is common amongst psychopaths. I guess that bike accident did more damage than most of us had hoped ... or perhaps he was always this way

He for sure had anger issues from his childhood but the motor cycle could of caussd bad enough damage to make him lash out in violent episodes. I beleive he suffered from drug abuse, mental health issues and CTE which led to his murder/suicide. OJ simpson is a very similar case, I think he had CTE aswell.

Valero is right thou, back then Guzman was such a tough fighter to figure out. He was slick, great foot work, and throws a lot of punches. He also fought in bursts but very quick bursts. Valero vs Guzman would probably been boring in the early going but exciting in the later rounds. Pacquiao vs Valero just would of been action packed from the 1st bell to the last, they were both good friends of with each other so i don't know how that would play in the fight but it would of been very exciting to watch.

he had naturally explosive power and speed, sad he passed away too soon

Man those cuts and his chin have really done a number on his career. Guerrero went all the way up to welterweight and I envisioned Linares doing the Sam thing. Not sure if he will ever realize that potential now.

Selenacuerdo I highly doubt that was the reason Valero murdered his wife,thats so dumb.You didnt know his wife and neither did I but she doesnt seem from what I have seen to be a woman like that,she seemed to be devoted wife and mother to her kids.The way she carried herself,dressed etc doesn't point to your theory and again its just not logical,sounds dumb.I believe it was just the case of Valero being an aggressive person when under the influence of alcohol and drugs and obviously it built up over time.There was several incidents in the past of his wife being beaten.Valero was probably paranoid because of the drugs,drunk and just lost his mind but went too far. @Lil Phazo again that theory is dumb,there are great Hispanics Boxers out there and its a bit too extreme for that to be the motive for someone to kill Valero.

I understand what your saying, but i checked by a friend. He says that Valero had countless reports of abuse on his family from what he said.

Linares es tremendo boxeador mucho mejor a mi juicio que Valero, Linares es muy disciplinado, entrena duro, escucha consejos y sobre todo es muy humilde. Espero que su trayectoria siga brillando. Valero bueno es tremendo campeon pero le falta algo de tecnica y ser un poco mas elegante pero de que es bueno es bueno, pero prefiero a Linares
