Edward Furlong (The Terminator, American History X) joins us this week to share his journey with addiction and the rock-bottom he hit that allowed him to get clean and re-discover the joys of a sober life. Edward shares fond memories with cast and crew while filming The Terminator franchise - all the while, acknowledging how he took it for granted in his youth.
We also talked about going from teenage heartthrob to parent of a teenager, breaking the chain of generational trauma, and what Edward still wants to prove to himself.

Unfortunately hard drugs and getting older changes pretty much everyone. God willing he will be able to stay away from drugs for the rest of his life.

And now we have AI writing, learning human behavior. ect.Just completely overlooking the fact that the last smart robot we tested.Said something along the line of they/it wanted to kill humans "“Okay, I will destroy humans.” Sophia, the talking AI robot, says “Okay, I will destroy humans” to a journalist in an interview. Although this was in response to an interview question from a journalist, it came across as a little jarringly frightening - rather than as the joke that might have been intended." Given it was a female robot.Female tends to be a bit unstable

I refuse to believe that. It seems only some 10 years ago my dad took me to see it in the theatre when I was 10 years old. I was obviously completely blown away and every time I rewatch T2 I still get the same feeling of excitement. Very few films ever managed to do that. It's just perfect.
Just want to say, Detroit Rock City is super underrated.

I've met many celebs at those cons, he is one of the more memorable ones, AND my best autograph! Many of them make a wavy line and call it an autograph - Furlong made his look great, even got creative. I asked him to write his characters name under his signature, he gave me a blank stare and said, "what was my characters name?" A second later he remembered it. LoL (For a minute I thought he was testing me) He comes off as a normal, regular guy, no big ego. Cool dude.

His downfall, and recovery from addiction has made him a better person. Eddie doesn't seem like one of those loony Hollywood elites. Just a guy who'd be cool to meet and hang out with. Hope to see him one day!

Furlong was absolutely brilliant in T2 and a few others movies, but I cannot help but think he wakes up every morning regretting his addictions. He could easily have been a multimillionaire Hollywood Star.

The "I Had The Greatest Experience On Set" Line is the most priceless thing i've ever heard anyone say who's had multiple rehabs, abusive, drug addict, & mental deteriorated mind set has ever said out of anything spoken as someone who's finally become sober after like 40 Years later, o_@ Like did he really just say that line, or am I living a fantasy here?? Ya, he feared the shznit out of that Movie for decades, & it was the best experience ever?? I seem to call bull on that one... But as far as him talking about how much of a family it was like being surrounded by that crew, is very nice to hear from him, especially given the fact that not everyone in Filming had an experience to be soo lucky as to find their crew like a family, & all that, & i'm ultimately glad that not all huge hit movies had actually been faced that kind of atmosphere on set between People... Ferlong is great, & I hope he finally has a chance to show how much he's grown over like 35 Years...
Glad to see Eddie doing well! ♥♥♥

I always had a soft spot for Eddie because he was a legit 'bad boy' just a few years older than me who I really looked up to; I absolutely felt like I was the kid that got to ride on Arnold's bike. And as a headbanger I really dug his presence in Detroit Rock City. He put his heart into The Crow 3 - I'm a die-hard Crow boy. He is how I imagined I would be as a famous kid in movies. I'm always rooting for him. The story of losing T3 was so raw to hear. But spiritually I do believe these loses are the silver lining of a greater future if we believe it and stay True. Keep Going Eddie! Thx Michael for hosting him and bringing him to us!

If Eddie were to get in shape, he could easily reprise his John Connor role. As for the drugs taking a toll on his face, the Hollywood makeup can easily conceal that.

yeap... the age comes to everybody.. he was just handsome boy when he made the movie.. he changed a lot! Im sad he lost the oportunity about the 3 exterminator.... It will be great see u back!!!!!!!!!!!!

American history x and pet semetary 2 great movies
Wtf John!!!😂
It's so hard to judge Furlong for his choices at the time because him and Culkin where the brightest child stars of their decade, and I might risk here and say for at least 2 decades there was hardly someone even close to their level of stardom in that category. Therefore, placing ourselves in their place, not doing drugs with all that fame, money, parties and compliments must have been barely impossible to escape.
Man, he really let himself go. He looks almost as old as Arnold.
They should have you as Lex Luthor in the main movies man. Edward is the only John Connor 👍
