Edouard Manet, Between Impressionism and Realism | Documentary

Ойын-сауық

Edouard Manet is occasionally incorrectly linked to the impressionist art movement, but he diverged from its principles in his interpretation of reality and avoidance of the prevailing color techniques. Manet's artworks were sources of dispute and frequently excluded from formal showcases, which ultimately fostered his companionship with Degas.

INCREDIBLE HOW THE IMPRESSIONISTS LOOK LIKE, AND AT THE TIME EACH ONE HAS A DEFINED AND RECOGNIZABLE STYLE...

My favorite is Susan at , A Bar at the Folies-Bergere. I also like the woman with plum wine.

The painting at 28.18 is not by Manet, it's a portrait by his student Eva Gonzalez of her sister Jeanne. Coincidentally, Manet's portrait of Eva at her easel is the very next picture in the video at 28.24.

It amazes me that these artist didn't think of painting outside or didn't use color in there painting in the beginning but artist evolve.

Having been a painter I hesitate to assume anything about what they might think of or why they might or might not do something, they're likely struggling with that themselves. That's the life.

As was said in the vid, the creation of tubes of paint allowed them to paint in places besides their studios. Before artists had to grind and mix their paint and had no way to travel easily with it

Yea her voice is too loud behind the interpreter's. Very kludgy audio production. It's not just this vid or this channel, it amazes me so many KZread video producers don't manage sound levels very well. My biggest beef.
