Agreed. Not many players play their entire NHL career with one team, through all the ups & downs. Now 2 of them--Getzlaf & Brown--are hanging them up for good after stellar careers that saw them raise the cup at least once.

Congrats to the Oilers. I'm proud of my Kings. Played a great series and great experience for those young ones

Mad props to the Kings. They exceeded expectations by holding the Oilers to seven games, and even though I hate them as a Sharks fan, they have my respect.

We should all take a minute to appreciate what Smith has done for us this year. Had bad luck with injuries the first half of the season & we were all screaming for a new goalie but since he's been healthy he's been on fire. He played huge for us in this series. McJesus is just doing what he does & Drai played a good game even though he's injured. I'm proud of what our team has done so far, lets hope it continues

Campbell was criminally underrated. He was very good for us during the reg season during 2020-2022, including the playoffs. Very ver very, underrated

I’m with ya there Matty! McDavid truly holds the title for the best player in the NHL after what he did our us. If we can get as far as I think we can then it’s gonna be one hell of a celebration from everybody! Off to round 2!!

Kings far exceeded my expectations for the season. I thought they would miss the playoffs while their young players gain experience, but they went the distance with a far superior team. Hoping the Flames win their Game 7. I want to see a playoffs edition of the #BattleOfAlberta.

I’m a kings a fan and they could have won but when it really came down to it oilers were the better team most of the series and the oilers deserved to win. Best of luck.

@@vicdamon3551 Yep, I'm a big Kings fan as well and I think you're right. Edmonton played a better overall series and deserves to advance. Kings will be very solid in the near future.

Anze Kopitar is a class act.

Even though my Kings got eliminated, I'm still very proud of the effort. With their youth, the future looks great for this franchise.

@@MrOctober44 Oh ya. They played beyond most people's expectations for the majority of the season and took a dam good Oilers team to 7 games. I'm stoked for next season. I'm just not sold on Petersen. And despite his contract, how much longer can Quick perform like this? But they do have plenty of youth to develop, which is absolutely the right move. Need to work on their special teams play, for sure.

Cheers to both teams, for a killer 7 game series, from the Hometown of Derek Ryan and Kailer Yamamoto, SpoCanada!

They all hate each other then when it’s over they respect the battle they went through. Only in hockey.

I'm soo happy for the Oilers, our boys deserve this. Good series for the kings as well. The future is bright with them and they have it in them to become a dangerous team. LFG Oilers!!!

Congrats to the Oilers and its fans. What a series! For the most part all of the series except the Avs and Preds. Kings were not even considered a playoff team, but they made it a series.

I'd bet Todd is saying "Go get the Cup, you deserve it" to McD. Or something close to that.

I don’t know how this wasn’t a 15-0 game.. Quick played like a monster and kudos for LA giving me a couple heart attacks because I thought Edmonton would have this series locked… GO OILERS!!

Quick playing out of this world and LA blocking shots like animals, it's the only reason the game was this close.

Quick was just amzing keeping his guys alive.

I know that it doesn’t count for the playoffs but McD did the same thing for the Oilers during the regular season. He carried them on his back, he got them into the playoffs. McD wins the Hart and the Lindsay by a country mile!!!

Good fought series. The Kings will be good going forward. They were beat by the better team this year. Thank You Dustin Brown for everything you did for the Kings. I hope they put you in the rafter in LA.

POWERFUL PASSING OF THE TORCH! did anybody see that ESPN post game feed? As background, Gretzky, a former oiler and king, had predicted (as an Atlanta based panelist on TNN, ESPN) that the Kings would win in 6 and doubled down, that they would win game 7. Connor had the headset on after the victory. Gretzky waxed poetic about how he put the team on his shoulder, like a champion ... how did he feel after the win. Connor said "F*** you Gretz, you're not an Oiler!" pulled off the headset and walked off. Goofy looks from the panel preceded a cut to commercial before the american panel interviewed some other goof. Good for Connor. That is how you pass a friggin torch.

So we Already got panthers vs Tampa and now might get oilers vs flames this Is going to get good
