The clothes may be y2k but the whole aesthetic feels more futuristic to me. It’s a very nice combo of nostalgia and what’s next to come in pop music.

@@AlonsoMontero but if you watch some old pop Y2K style MV you can see that they played a lot with futuristic and 60s style aesthetic even when it was Y2K style. So I think every little detail in this MV is on point with that aesthetic as well

It’s definitely gone viral within the dance community. One of the choreographers Sienna from TheLab actually works closely with BTS and has choreographed for a lot of their songs

Not only is XG full of talent, the people behind the scenes are just as talented. The music video editors, the choreographers, their producers, their manager. Takes an army and it’s apparent that everyone on their team wants them to succeed.

XG shooting star is a deep song. They deserve more recognition

Bro, sometimes I forgot that you're the editor of some big names. But yeah, the mv is fun, the colors and the styling is like the combination of kpop y2k and modern harajuku for me. Some even says that the stars concept reminds them of sailor moon, but futuristic.

Just letting you know XG is back with "GRL GVNG", and the edit, vfx and visuals in general are TOP TIER. Pls, I'll wait for your reaction :')

Rigend Film is actually really busy and cooking fires only, like how they even had time to do all of those mvs on time. They don't only produce MVs, they also shot branded live performance mvs (Tokopedia x BP x BTS were shot by them), that's the crazy part. I'm actually more of a VM Architecture guy but Rigend's works are super trendy and well executed too.

Rigend Film hit a grand slam with the editing of this MV, it's so incredibly dope. Nice to see that they got a shoutout right at the beginning so everyone can know who worked on the technical aspects of this masterpiece. Hoping all their future MVs are produced by them, too.

I’m so glad an editor reacted to this coz Shooting Star is definitely one of the best MVs I have watched. I’m not into editing but I’m so amazed at the effects and transitions for this mv too.

They are meant to be an international Group, the Members originally being from Japan, they've only sang English in their 4 Songs that they've released yet but for some reason only are promoting in Korea and rather not so heavily international.

Istg that the first time I hear this song after the Galz Xypher, I was so happy with the intro and then with the rest of the song I was like "meeeeh". But when I saw (and paid attention) to the MV, along with the lyrics, the quality, their voices, the choreo, outfits and everything, I was ABSURDLY AMUSED (and impressed). It is just so much fun. The song is amazing, the quality is amazing and everything about them just make you enjoy the musing and MV so much. XG is, indeed, the future! 🌠

Btw, and for those interested, the MV and whole vide of the music, outfits and visuals are based on the Y2K style. The reason for the whole "app and notifications vide", is because 2000-2010 were really important years for the mobile phones and applications (EG: Facebook on 2004, Myspace on 2003, Treo phones with colored screen on late 2000, and even the "Capcha" term on the 2000s). This is also why, although they have extremely good quality and edits on most of the video, there are some parts with kind of blurred or low quality "filters" and "emojis", because it was a right hyped part of applications and social media back in those years. [sorry for my bad English lol]

As a regular watcher of your reaction videos and a new ALPHAZ, I've been waiting for you to react to Shooting Star, and I'm really thankful that you did. XG's goal is to become a global group, which is very ambitious, but at least they are super skilled at dancing, singing, rapping, and more. And another factor which I don't think many people consider is that XG is under XGALX, a joint venture of YG Japan and AVEX, which are two big labels with lots of budgets, and they're very willing to invest in quality MVs like this one and purposely build an international image. So I think it's only a matter of time (1-2 years?) before XG gets huge like big kpop gen 4 girl groups out there. XG is also currently receiving lots of praise and gaining new international fans (like me), so I believe things will turn out well for XG this year!!!

Hi i think it's a common misconception that XGALX is a joint venture, but it's actually solely under AVEX ;) AVEX has had a lot of success in the past and the current CEO has said in an interview that they're willing to invest their substantial reserves into new projects that are aiming for the world such as XG!

AVEX does have a joint label with YG, but it's YGEX which distributes YG artist's music in japan. Xgalx is a different label under AVEX not involved with YG!

its so cool how you can spot the small details like frame rate and the loading screen thing like youre so sharp!

The more I watch this music video, the more I have in my mind that it's like modern digital Tenebrism and Pre-Raphaelite paintings mashed together to differentiate the harder rap verses from the softer R&B chorus. The tiny, almost unnoticeable details are what I appreciate the most though, purely for the fact that it's got a certain whimsical charm to them. Most, if not all reaction videos never point them out, like when Chisa slaps away the star in the first Pre-Chorus. The hand flicking away Juria on a cloud right when the snare hits on the second Pre-Chorus is absolutely satisfying and I'm glad somebody finally pointed that out along the things I love about the music video.

I love them and wish for them to be more than just popular in Asia but to be global!!! Such queens! ❤
