Editing in ArcGIS Pro - the Edit Help You Didn't Know You Needed
Editing in ArcGIS Pro can be much easier when you use the edit helps that Esri has provided. One of those helps is the Edit Grid. I'll show you how to use it and some things you need to watch out for.

Ah! Great video Jeff as always. I had no clue about the 'S' shortcut for the secondary anchor while using the rotation tool.

You should go watch my Move, Rotate and Scale videos. They have even more details.

Thanks for watching! I always like to leave a little something for those that watch the whole thing.
Thank you for sharing this knowledge with us :) A beginners question: in this context, if the I have a plan with buildings of the the same size within different blocks, I'd need to create lines just for one first set of buildings (one set of red lines in your layer for example) and then copy and paste using the help of the grid as you showed, right? I wonder what's your preferred way of working with the subdivision layer? How do you add or import the 'subdivision' layer usually? I see it shows values 0 to 1 in your table of contents. Thanks once more for the amazing content you bring!

Thanks for watching and commenting! And yes the method you described would be how I would create those identical buildings. I will sometimes use the mirror features tool if I get buildings that are the same but flipped or mirrored. I actually enter my subdivision s from the recorded , here’s a video showing me enter a subdivision in the parcel fabric ArcGIS Pro Parcel Fabric - Subdivision Entry kzread.info/dash/bejne/dIah0ritoMfNh7g.html
Catching up on videos, very nice. Wait till I show this to our cadastral surveyors.

I knew it was there, just didn’t know how I could use it until now.
Thank you for a great video and nice and easy explanation! :) IMHO the number 54°11´23´´ has nothing to do with any kind of rotation angle. It is just coordinates - N and E (North - latitude and East - longitude) of that place.

That is the bearing of the road centerline, I was confused about the 36.something in the grid options rotation angle, not sure what units they are using for that angle.

90 - 54.189722 is close to 36.03 since you snapped to a line instead of entering it, it’s probably the angle of your line. Also looks like a georeferenced pdf which probably isn’t 54.189722 degrees rotated.

I digitized a line that matched the bearing of the long side of that building - I also had my grid to ground correction set to match the basis of bearing, so I don’t think that was the issue. It’s a weird number. I’m not sure which units in the options it is using.
Thank you for a great vidéo I have dynamic text and I want to display the values of a domain in its content, but it only shows me the codes
