Hi, I just found your channel, and I have a question for you… coffee is terribly acidic, and I wonder if you have given thought to the friability of acid treated paper, or if that was taken into account? I’ve been using as much archival stuff as I can, glue, ink, paper and so on, I hate the idea of the pages I love disintegrating over a few years….

Hi Kim, I only started Junk Journalling last year and before that I was a scrapbooker and obsessed with everything being archival. At first I did not realised that tea and coffee made the paper acidic. I have looked into adding stuff to the dye bath to neutralise the acid but as not done that. It is on my todo list & this question has pushed it further to the top of that list! :-)

What sort of paper do you use for your pages for the journal?

I use copier paper that I have tea dyed mostly. Also use 120gsm Navigation paper.
