LOVE EDISTO BEACH, been going between Christmas and New Years for a long time now. I did not know you could walk out in the marsh, the drive that leads into the campground there are a couple of places you can get to marsh and I throw my cage there. My problem has been the size I'm catching are smaller. I guess I'll be trying something different this year, looks like nice weather so excited about that.

Nice vid! I grew up in Walterboro and have been going to Edisto since childhood. Love it so much that we bought a house at the Neck. I like boat fishing but nothing beats walking down to the inlet and occasionally hooking up. I'm going to try gigging on that sandbar one night when it warms up!

Great video. Thanks for posting. I just got back from South Edisto and Otter Island. Went to Deveaux Island Yesterday and the day before. These people that think a video on KZread is going to bring flocks of people just make me laugh. I guess the Piggly Wiggly and Buck's Pizza owe you for the people you brought in to eat and buy groceries.

Great job perry. I subscribed to you awhile back. I enjoy the area and I don't feel it will ever be like the other places. I share fishing spots as well.

I've been going to Edisto for over 30 years and I have to admit there is a side of me that wants to keep it all to myself. I try not to listen to that side too often even though I know you are right about it becoming more crowded.

Remember back in 2010 every beach house was up for sale, it will happen again and weed out over leveraged !

How far of a walk is it to that inlet? I am thinking of walking down with a bucket and a pole this weekend. Are there any other spots one could fish from the banks? Thank you

Size 3/8 dipsey swivel weight, and eagle claw lazer sharp kahle hook 2. All from W-mart. I believe you can alter the size of hook and weight and still catch fish. I have caught fish on different rigs and the person next to me is using something much different.

So glad you ejoyed Edisto. I love the place and I am scheduled to go the last week in September. The fishing is usulally good in the fall and bait shrimp are plentiful and usually catch the most fish in the Inlet. Yes share some of that information with me. I would like to hear it. My email address is perryrush@charter.net If you walk up the inlet a ways you can usually catch some nice fish. Perry

@bradsure to late island is already ruined to bad your kids wont be able to enjoy edisto the way it was secrets out just give um a little more time and it will be gone forever i have never heard of a fisherman going into that much detail to ruin that little spot down from the camp ground thanks to people like him the fishing will suck at that spot from now on fishermen should earn there own knowledge threw trial and error or whats the damn point
