In Cab drivers view of an Intercity 125 Class 43 journey from Edinburgh to Aberdeen in 16 minutes. Refurbished as a 1250, jet and rocket powered. Worth watching all the way through as the sound effects change - all very tongue in cheek...!

Perhaps in 200 years or less, trains will be travelling at that speed on a regular basis, they are almost at that now, especially in France and Japan with the high-speed bullet trains.
Just love the sound effects, had a chuckle with the steam train sounds. Made my day.

I have the original normal speed footage for Edinburgh to Aberdeen, Kings Cross to York and Newcastle to Darlington. If anyone would be interested in buying copies on DVD drop me a msg on here on how to contact you and we can work out a price :) I have to strip out the original sound as the dialogue between me and the driver is under data protection. I can mix music or a cobbled together engine noise instead? Far too much hard work to put engine, DSD and AWS tones back into the soundtrack - sorry! 3 x DVD for EDB-ABD 2 x DVD for KGX-YRK 1 x DVD for NCL-DAR

Would have been helpful to know the stations as we passed through. Sound effects poor. 4/10.

This vid is one complete misconception. Cab view vids, particularly the one involving beautiful landscapes are supposed to de RELAXING! ;-)
