hats off to the firework display team who set this fantastic show up and the music by niteworks was the best i have heard in a long time well done Edinburgh did scotland proud

Beautiful and so atmospheric show. I would like to be over there next turn of the year.

Can I please temper my last comment by saying that the Gaelic music and its coordination with the fireworks was a vast improvement on the pop music tripe of previous years (God I sound really old and I’m not!!) If we must endure musical accompaniment please keep it like this, or (even better) classical like at the end of the Festival. Pleeaase!

I watched the fireworks from Oxgangs and we had a great view could even heard them.

Far better with a great countdown olympic style countdown and the display was awesome as more spread out compared to londons contained display Happy hogemanny Scotland 🎉🎉🎉👍

Just wow the best i have ever seen that music light show gave me goose bumps watching it trully amazing i think its been the best weve ever had it no light show like it i thought the year after this one was guff with bruno mars it wasnt scottish enough this one was and it was trully spectacullar i watched this years 1 2020 2021 which was nice

Hey Paul, I just lost my mom in March from cancer, she moved her to Canada from Stewarton in Kilmarnock and my dads from Kilmaurs, so I a purebred scots born in Canada. I went home when I was a young teen to meet my grandad with my dad, I really miss Scotland, but miss my mother so much more and your right, once certain folks have passed on, some places will never be the same without them, but they would want us to keep the head and move on to Love again and live to make them at peace we did. All the music was by the band 'Niteworks' who are from Skye. They worked with composer Dan Jones who orchestrated some of the pieces for full symphony orchestra! They also played a live set on the Waverley Stage before and after the bells. Check out their album, 'NW' to hear the full lot.

Charlie Moffat I agree they obviously spent some money on making this into and only used it for 2 years yes it’s got Jackie bird but they could have recorded a new voiceover It was like they completely forgot about it this year and they panicked so did a countdown it was utter shite
