I was born here nearly 63 years ago. I went to the National School between 1960 and 1964. I left there well over half a century ago and it's surprising how similar to back then the whole place looks. I feel nostalgic for a life that is so different from my current one.

Beautiful Brilliant Performance Guys Well Done

Hello Desmond. Thank you for replying to my comment. It's hard to believe that I have been recognised! Yes, I am Isabel Allen! My grandparents owned the shop which is the Park House Hotel. My grandfather died in 1963 but my father, Victor, had pre-deceased him in January 1962. My mother Hilda, my brother William and I left Edgeworthstown in April 1964 for Coleraine. I have been in England since 1978. I have very much enjoyed watching the 'Lesser Spotted Journeys' series and have been fascinated by the Edgeworthstown film. I hope to return one day to visit the museum in the Old Rectory. My mother, Hilda, died in September 1975. My brother, William, lives in Carrickfergus. I have two daughters and William has a son and a daughter. I started school the same day as John Bloomer. Do you know him? Best wishes, Isabel.
