@@XeroDeSantaShiro-namaji-52 Well, Golden Darkness is the gold standard for weapon farming in both games. And HP farming in Shifting Mountain should have been the same, too. Links in the description.

Instead of killing the last one, fly to the other side of the map. The ant is considerably slower than you are, you'll have plenty of time to fly back and pick up everything. I also do this with an air raider in a helicopter, positioned directly above the loot pile who just comes down at the end. For the other two classes, I kill them right next to the pile, lead off the last ant and return to revive them before it can get back. Also, I use the tree right next to the cabin, but about any one will work.

Good point. I never really used Crimson for farming. Got a nice Thunder Bow in Preventing Landfall and went straight for Golden Darkness.

i equip a heavens gate just for a tad bit extra damage. thanks for all your videos on this game.. you have helped me so much. i hope you do videos on Earth Defense force 5 whenever it comes out. wish you much luck in life my dude. god bless

Wow, thank you. I don't know if I'll have the time to cover EDF5 as much as I did 4.1, but I'll get it as soon as it comes out in europe.

Could you do this with a air raider though? Like jump out a helicopter or should you just do Co op and collect the armour/weapons with the air raider but do the farming with the wing diver

In offline co op mode, both classes get the same amount of armor (or one class double the armor). But weapons are only gained by the class who actually collects them. Don't waste your time farming Crimson. This is only for giving a totally undeveloped Wing Diver an early boost. As soon as you got a decent Thunder Bow or Idunn, go to Golden Darkness as linked in the description. That's THE farming spot for weapons.

@@R-R-R ok thanks, I was saying cause I play most of the story with my younger brother and we are just trying to get all the stuff for air raider so if he was just in a helicopter above the tree and he won’t get hit and then when the ants are all dead he could jump out and collect it because at the moment we aren’t desperate for the wing diver stuff

Air raider I use the fire nereid and wait till they all group and and kill them easy to do on inferno

Damn I don't think this works anymore. Everytime I'm up at the tree my weapons seem to break it down no matter how much I aim away from it.

Is there a luck element to this trick? Every time I attempt this the ants simply chop the tree down? Does not matter which tree is used.

Thanks for the reply! I think I figured out what I doing wrong. I was using a reflection laser Lv 47 and it was bouncing back from the Ant corpses and kept knocking the tree down..it was just hard to see. I followed what you did on here exactly and it does indeed work perfectly! I do have a Question though. Does anything influence what might drop as a weapon aside from being on inferno or is it just random? Like if you have a sniper is it more likely to drop sniper weapons as loot?

If you want to farm high level gear, you need to go for high level missions. Golden Darkness is generally recommended for this. kzread.info/dash/bejne/qp96p8lvg7mpYJc.html Start on a difficulty setting you can beat with your current gear and work your way up. The description under that video tells you which weapon levels you can get on which difficulty.

You mean without a second controller? Difficult. Offline mission 77 Monster Party or 83 Encircling are rather easy to beat on Inferno for weapons. A cunning Ranger can also beat Golden Darkness (DLC1) to get a lot of green crates. For armor, use Easy difficulty. Any mission with respawning enemies is fine, but you can't go afk. If you got a second controller, it gets way easier: Shifting Mountain (afk) for Armor, Golden Darkness for weapons (both DLC1).

The best way to do that is, getting flamethrower with 2700 round and i follow what you did in the video. As i was standing in the middle giant insect Nest and and i follow what you did in the video again, i keep on fire in the sky. Kind of boring just standing in the middle of a giant insect and pointing your gun up. I did that for ranger without second controller... oh and i play difficulty [Hard]

Hi I have been trying to get new weapons I only have 17 left and I have finished inerferno on each class in single player.For some reason when I complete the high levels on inferno i can't get any new weapons even though i'm in range.

Farming those last few weapons is a total crapshoot. A friend of mine had to wait a whole year to get Rule of God. What level range do you need?

A bit too high for effective farming in a main mission. I recommend dlc1 Golden Darkness (kzread.info/dash/bejne/qp96p8lvg7mpYJc.html). It's the most time-efficient.

I Don't have the DLC.Is it better to get the high level weapons early on when you first start the game.

If you start with low difficulty and work your way up, you won't need high level gear for a long time.

I keep having the problem where the allies are dead, and i dont shoot but the ants attack and chop down the tree, any tips?

Strange. Preventing Landfall gives you more or less the same weapons as Crimson. Run away at the start and collect items before the second group of Hectors hits the beach.

The Red Ants can't harm the tree. What weapons did you use? Were there NPCs that could have hit the tree?

RudolphRandolphRübenrunkler no I use the chainsaw for the wingdiver so I'm thinking maybe that's what caused it. I'll look into it. I was wondering if I did easy diifficult mode with two players by rangers I could use this mission as a faster way to farm armor? ☺

I see. Try a Laser Lance or a Rapier with narrow attack angle (Thrust-model). I wouldn't recommend this mission for armor farming. There are way better methods especially for afk-farming. Have a look for my playlist about farming and analytics if you need some inspiration. Crimson is good to farm level ~50 gear for the WD, which makes armor farming in Valley Shadows or Shifting Mountain easier.

I did this only once to show how you can start farming inferno-class gear from scratch. Once the NPCs are dead, you can put a rubber band on your fire button.

If I remember correctly, the Fencer will knock down the tree.

Disappointed to know this is a bug that got added with 4.1 here on 2025 and they just knock down the tree

Doesn't work on xbox.. they tore that tree down like it was a pice of wet tissue

When they remade EDF 2025 into 4.1, they took away the red ants ability to knock down trees. Reasons unknown.

I think this work on edf 2025 to. . . . maybe? I'll try this :v

@@R-R-R there some big tree that can"t be destroyed by red alphas, but It's hard to find, yesterday i found one tree that cant be destroyed but unfortunately the tree is missing when i try my second farming

@@R-R-R maybe I just hit the tree with my weapon because I was on 4.1

And u got zero weapons that I haven't gotten just by running the other mission on the beach, where the Hectors are coming ashore, while doing it legit and in half the time bc it's also a low as fuck mission. Just like this. Literally zero difference in drop quality.
