Welcome, or welcome back, to Wanderlust Walks! Thank you for being here.
Today we are exploring the stunning Peak District village, Edensor. Set within the grounds of the Chatsworth Estate, much of the village is owned by the Dukes of Devonshire. The original village was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086, however it was dismantled between 1838 and 1842 by William Cavendish, the then Duke of Devonshire. The nearby Chatsworth House is a popular tourist destination, having been used as one of the set locations in the 2005 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.
