4:03 I remember the first time I read that. It still haunts me to this day. I was 12 years old and english is not my first language; therefore, I wasn't aware of Edd's leukemia, so reading that Edd Gould had died at the age of 23 completely shocked me.

The worst part was that he was also young with a lot of potential.

The fact that one of the last scenes that was made before Edd's passing is him having his deepest desire (that being bringing his drawings to life, which wouldn't shock me if that's actually what he legit wanted) fulfilled is honestly really bittersweet.

“Let’s move on” was the last line Edd wrote before he died. In the next scene, the light above him flickered off, while the lights above Matt and Tom stayed on. A bit after that, the animation looks like it changes, but only a little bit. It may just be me on this one, but it seriously looks like it changes, which breaks my heart.

I kinda wanna cry, knowing he's gone... I have a lot of family with cancer, and when Edd died I wanted to beat the crap out of cancer. It sucks knowing that you have a high risk of cancer, and that you will most likely get it.

It’s kinda nice finally getting a series focused on Matt, he’s been the vain usually not that shown much, more of a side character to Edd and Tom so it’s time Matt gets his own

If there were such things as alternate universes, I would love to go to the universe where Edd Gould never got cancer. Edd Gould was really improving his skills over the years, with better humor and better animation in his web-series.

one of the best eddisodes in my opinion, the timing of the jokes is perfect and the animation is top quality in both [arts, the references to past episodes and shows were very subtle and clever, the desire room was such a creative part and i loved it

At 1:38 you can see a companion cube on the shelf. Nice portal reference

2:56 This was a tribute to Edd that Paul did, this really made me cry and I think this was really sweet of Paul to do this

2:56 to explain why the artstyle changed and the light turned off over edd's head: During the time, Edd sadly died during the making of this video. So someone else I forgot who did it took over the artstyle but still stayed on script. As you guys can ALSO notice, the voice of edd also changed in halfway through the video. That is because Matt voiced edd after his passing. 😭

Dear Edd- even though you are gone we even still love your animating

Edd Gould is a legend. Thank you for making us all happy. While animating this episode, you fought cancer. You're going to be missed. -A random fan who is still a fan for 2 years now.

edd was a legend and he will still be one.

2:56 in this scene you can see the lights above the main three's head but Edds light flickers and turns off... Saying that he passed away. The other two has theirs still on because their alive. Edd will always be in our hearts.

I don't think it represents what you think, notice the alien with Pauls signature eyebrow walking by as the light above Edd shuts down, it just means that from that point on, Edd made the first few frames and then Paul animated the rest. But I do think it also means that Edd had died during that stage of development in space face :(
