Its so daft that this footage isn't put out in the public domain.....& isn't allowed to remain here with people monopolizing it. VAN HAL:EN DONINGTON 1984 is an amazing piece of ROCK HISTORY...& this History BELONGS TO ALL OF US....There is some wonderful footage of ED and VALERIE on it ....& DLR in FULL COMEDY FORM with his interactions with the audience. & Alex up close playing his drum solo, & Mike going Bananas, ( & security chief BIG ED ANDERSON pulling interlopers off stage ..lol) ....& there is footage of Eddie after the gig talking with the great JOHN ENTWISTLE too................ C'mon folks...As the actress said to the vicar ......Let it stay up please.

Why would anyone waste their money on garbage one camera footage with shit audio, as cool as the footage is (and yes im a big vh fan) its not even worth owning, its a pretty sub par performance and the cringey roth moments dont exactly make for an enjoyable viewing experience

We know for a fact that Gooch is striking down the uploads. It says his eliteworks business name on the takedown notice. Gooch doesn’t own this material. Van Halen owns it. It is their intellectual property. Gooch does not own this. Eddie needs to admit it on air…Gooch is the guy behind this and there is no doubt of it.

Hes trying not to burn his gooch bridge. Gooch said in this comment section when i asked if the public will ever see more footage. "That’s been the plan all along. Just legally and correctly. It takes time. Lots of moving parts.", He also said that he does not ever sell footage to collectors, IDK how trustworthly this guy is because alot of KISS fans fucking hate him. and he was known for lying to collectors when selling KISS footage to them, i guess for fans we just have to hope Andrew Bennennt releases some of his stuff or that more footage gets leaked because there is no way in hell van halen would ever release anything new, they will just keep remastering.

The BBC filmed most of these Monsters of Rock gigs (now known as Download festival ) for The Rock Show and Whistle Test - but most never saw the light of day on TV. There were about 70,000-80,000 at each gig. Every band except Motley Crue on that bill in 1984 was bigger than Van Halen in the UK so they did well getting as high on the bill over here. In the UK Van Halen barely sold out 20,000 arenas where as the likes of Aerosmith, Jovi, Metallica and eventually Crue did. People in America found it strange when VH Supported Jovi in 90s in Europe but VH just didt connect in Europe like Jovi did. In mid 90s we had a programme called MTV Headbangers Ball in UK and they used to film this festival and dedicate a whole 3 hour progamme on it which had performances and backstage interviews. Some of them are on YT and Facebook. It was presented by Vanessa Warwick who at the time was married to The Almighty's Ricky Warwick - who played the festival in 91 or 92.

He doesnt own shit, he didnt pay for it (the band/label did) and I doubt very much that the band would sell that footage to anyone because it was something they paid for and intended to use for something else. Thats their stuff and on top of that it was in a vault at pacific title

It sucks so bad that Van Halen management is so dysfunctional that they can't agree on anything and as a fan it really sucks because it would be cool to see our listen to things that we haven't seen or heard before and a tribute concert for Eddie is just a disgrace if I was Wolfgang I put something together rather original members are not I would just have artists that were fans of the music go out and do a show tribute to Van Halen and expecially Eddie I would not be waiting around on David Lee Roth for nothing he is my favorite singer old Van Halen but he's also a pain in the ass they would have put out so much or music if it wasn't for David Lee Roth and his antics ✌️

sound wasn’t that good because its bootleg audience audio, one 16mm cam on stage (no mic) im guessing an intended audio source had they done anything with it would’ve been the board audio but who knows where that would be

Download it before it gets GOOCHED. Gooch will not take you to court, it's all smoke and mirrors. He may own a better version copy of a live show but he can't do shit with it officially without the bands involvement. He may allegedly have been selling hard drive copies and telling people they are the only one who has a copy which IS A he got caught, His wife divorced him n took him to the cleaners & he's blackballed by KISS. HE did a great book with Jeff suhs but that's it. He wants to much $$$ for KISS/VH to work with him hence why nothing has been officially released
