Having lost to Kassi and then getting knocked down by Mansour and Mansour having to retire in the 5th round having won every single round sums up this guy as an opponent. Fucking joke, and the mongs buying tickets to go see that live or pay for the Pay per view will just encourage mismatches.

Eddie is a sound guy

I actually like Eddie. He REALLY doesn't take himself too seriously and to be honest, wtf has he done? Aside from become successful and have a hand in making boxing more successful in this country. The people who slag him off would soon get pissed off if he DIDN'T make the ruthless business moves that have made the UK scene what it is, meaning the big names in world boxing are willing to come here to fight.

Really? we all know that fight ain't pay per view but Hearn is charging us £17 if we want to watch it. He also is sponsored by stubhub who buy 50% of the already overpriced tickets and then double them in price. it's a £1000 to watch anthony joshua ko this bum within 3 rounds if you want a ringside ticket. He's a money hungry gripe. i could go on for days about other back handed shit he does.

+Box2Box I agree, I think Breazeale is a disastrous defence. Not because of the public image etc, I couldn't give a damn about that. The problem is AJ will blow him out in 3 rounds max. AJ needs ROUNDS desperately and the only person who can provide that and is available for June is Stiverne Its conceivable now that AJ will fight Fury this winter having only been past 3 rounds on one occasion. That is a potentially huge disaster. I really can't see how on earth AJ would beat Fury if he fails to ice him in five rounds.

since loosing to wilder, stiverne has fought once in 15 months while brezeale has fought 4 times....it ain't rocket science why he isn't in the top 15. you also have to take into consideration stiverne has always been affiliated with the WBC, he was their champion and these governing bodies have their own rivalries etc

Fascinating explanation of the IBF situation and why they have so many dud mandatories. I have always had a vague idea of why things pan out the way they do but that was an excellent explanation.

the stuff about the ibf, the money for mandatories, and the subsequent rankings system and how it works was actually quite interesting

I don't know why people don't like Eddie Hearn; he does what he needs to do and has helped British boxing so much

And still the best promoter in the game

+devon alexandra Doesn't really matter, its about how much money each show makes and most matchroom shows outperform most US shows (including the crappy PPV ones) in total revenue if there isn't a mayweather/Pacman/Canelo involved. US live gates are crap, US non PPV shows don't make much any more (or flat out lose money) and some of the PPV shows get laughable numbers (although since the Americans pay big fees for crap the money still works). The promoters had pretty much nothing to do with the appeal of Mayweather/Pacman/Canelo so really what US promoter is doing a better job than Hearn?

Eddie is the British face of boxing. Nothing against Warren or Hennessey but they are not in the same league as Eddie. I could listen to him and Kugan all day. British heavyweight boxing is the best it's ever been and Eddie has a lot to do with it. But still have to say Fury is my favourite boxer would like to see him and Joshua together think he would frustrate Joshua but if Joshua did unload it would be difficult for anybody to withstand them bombs. Keep the good work up Kugan

Best fighter untill the klitschko rematch possibly, just cuz tyson is better skilled doesn't mean wlad won't land a bomb and end the fight there and then, I wish this rematch wasn't happening cuz klitschko not land at least 1 bomb over two fights seems highly unlikely, he's been one of the most accurate champions of all time

Even if fury loses the rematch he's still the best skilled heavywieght on the planet right now. I like joshua wilder amongst others but take ya blinkers off mate and see it for what it is

"Decent fighter..but it doesn't matter does it." - the problem in a nutshell. Basically admitting the casual muppets that lap flexboy up are only interested in what it looks like when they retweet it onto their timelines, as opposed to how much the fight (which is PPV and selling tickets at around the £2k mark on MugHub) challenges a so called 'world' heavyweight champion

Great interview,eddie shooting straight from the hip. The one small thing i took from that interview is that billy joe pulled out of his fight against bursak so that he can fight Eubank again. Great that saunders is letting emotions (i would say hatred) after watching chris jnr absolutely destroy spike & blackwell who BJS backed and made them falsely believe they could beat him and now he thinks he can avenge blackwell's horrific beating he received by taking him on again when young chris has learned so much since they 1st fought it will be a whole different outcome

I like the banter. I don't think Kugan is up his arse. He's working hard to bring us all interviews from all the people in the boxing world. I for one, living in Australia appreciate the videos as coverage of boxing over here I.e build up etc is none existent.

Even though Eddie does come out with some questionable stuff now and again like every other promoter, I Actually think Eddie is quite grounded. good interview
