I'm a little jaded by now. Notice that, just like today on SNL, they're positioned next to each other in these skits, and they unobtrusively look just past one another at the cue cards. Note that they also removed the windshield wipers so you could better see the actors. The car was a Rambler. About as plain Jane as you could get back then, circa 1967.

They not only removed the wipers, they removed the windshield glass to avoid glare. That is the most expensive version of the little Rambler American. It's a 1968 Rambler Rogue convertible.

You're right - I forgot about that.
And yet 'Green Acres' would be cancelled 3 years later by CBS's 'Rural Purge' ! However, this skit proved that their comedy had nothing to do with country living or city life but just straight man Oliver getting frustrated before finally having fun via the zany Lisa's illogical logic!
