@@tipperscum See original post talks of time machine! That's the context of my reply. It's unbelievable, sitting in 2022, that such a car could once be had for 8450, considering what it would now sell for. That's what I was saying. Shouldn't need to spell it out. I know the original episode is from 2006. I am not an idiot. Please don't be so quick to assume everyone on YT is an idiot. Some of us are not. But your eagerness to correct the 'idiot' makes you look like one. Anyway, as far as it probably still being a cheap 911 for that money in 2006. I can't say without further research, but this episode shows things like covering up holes under the door mirror, which hardly gives the impression of a quality job. And this program has cars often being bought on the cheap, but mostly not really being sold on the cheap. I suspect that 8450 was roughly market value for a LHD 911 in reasonable condition back in 2006. But there's also the WD effect on prices. I think most buyers assumed the fixed cars to be better than they often were. I remember that most cars didn't even get an oil and filter change! While a few cars had extensive restorations, and some were thoroughly gone through, most had quick tart ups for a quick profit.
