EDC First Aid Kit

Of everything I carry, use, buy, upgrade, and change- my urban first aid kit is my most focused and thought out piece of gear. It isn't a first response or trauma kit, but it absolutely has saved the day over and over. I'll type it out even though I say it in the video- MAKE SURE TO HAVE GOOD FIRST AID SUPPLIES READILY AVAILABLE! AND KNOW HOW TO USE THEM!
I'd love to hear your thoughts! What do you carry? What rides in your kit to tackle those minor (or even serious) first aid needs?
Thank you for watching!

The timing of your video is amazing, I've been working my first aid kits for the last week and now have some things to add after watching 😁 The compressed towels are terrific and surprisingly strong. I also compartmentalize with ziploc bags as you have here, it helps keep things really organized!

I LOVE these compressed towels! I carry a tube of them in all my go and hiking bags. It's all I use while camping for either shower houses or a bird bath. Plus, just to wet and put on your head or neck is great when your roasting. Thanks for watching, and I'm glad it could help at all!

@@ConansEasyDadCarry YES, I do the same, hahaha. I discovered that those towels are the width of a nickel, so the clear plastic tubes for storing nickels that you can get at hobby stores work perfectly! I think you can get 8 towels in there. They're in all my bags and the car, a bag of 500 from Amazon go a long way!

I carry extensive first aid supplies. I’ve been first on scene to multiple car crashes ranging from minor injuries to fatalities. I never want to come upon a crash without a decent first aid kit. I agree that everyone needs training. I’m guilty of letting mine lapse and need to get re-certified. But I also want to have gear that someone more knowledgeable can use to help others. I carry a small first aid guide in my kit.

I have an extensive kit in my car - also having been first on scene at more than one accident - and my mom is an RN. Having said that, a little kit like this lives in my everyday bag. It's come in handy. Not as much as when my son was little, but it's handy. I do have a few things in my big kit that I hope I never need to use, even though I'm trained.

The one thing I'd add, having raised a son and been a tomboy, would be a tiny sewing kit. You know, The kind with a small card (1"x1.5" ish) and 4 different colors of thread, a needle, and a threader. I noticed you already have a couple of safety pins. My SAK has better scissors or folding scissors aren't bad.

Can I suggest an idea? I found a [Schrade] stockman knife in the forest. There's no good videos explaining ALL the best uses for the 3 types of blade shapes, or why someone would want them all together on one tool. The knife nerds have ignored my request, as if it's obvious. Can a multitool guy explain the stockman? Is it even a multitool? That could be a fun discussion. So far, I like using the small spay blade for opening taped boxes and clam shells. LOL on the Miss Army knife. But it would make a great gift for a 14yo girl I know. I like that you review unusual things ! Thanks again

😆Those are kind of hold over. Good for the same thing as the pick, but also good for securing clothing in case it needs to be modified to accommodate for an injury. @@brunojohnson4026 Thank you so much! I personally like the pick because it's a lot tougher and easier to handle than just a safety pin. I also like that it stores in itself and I don't have to worry about it popping open or being exposed all the time like the pins. But it *is* an extra tool that's kind of limited in capability, so maybe not preferred by everyone. Always like having a discussion on this stuff!
