Ed van der Elskens film: 'Van Varen' uit 1960 (1)
Part 1 of famous photographer Ed van der Elsken on Dutch shipping taken during his round the world tour in 1960/1. Ed and his wife Gerda stayed with me in Tokyo during their trip. The film features life on board of the freighters (I traveled myself on them!)
The film was meant for Dutch audiences (I do not know of any English version) Yet even without understanding the commentary it is easy to follow. See also the second part
