pure happiness from songs that almost all have really sad lyrics sounds strange but i get it.. i've been in a really dark low place for the longest time and relate to wayyy to many of his songs and even know it sucks to be in the same place all his lyrics are suggesting there is a feeling of happiness that comes out while you sing along to them are weird as it sounds Reply

This is one of my favorites off the album. I feel like Ed is so in tune with his emotions and the people around him. His songs have so much heart and are easy to relate to. This acoustic version is amazing.

No one would incorporate the sounds of the birds. No one would be comfortable recording with a tiny clip-on microphone outside of a sound-proof studio. This was probably done in one continuous take. But I love how you can hear hints of your earlier work. +, yes, but you can also get hints of songs like Firefly, Sofa, Songs I Wrote With Amy, even hints of Little Things and Wayfaring Stranger.
